Strength:

The engine is easy to work on. I replaced the spark plug, wires and distributor and it took me like 10 minutes. The transmissions are tight. I also had to put new axles in it and that took about 5 hours and I had no idea what I was doing. It is roomy for and compacted car. Over all that car is SWEET!

Weakness:

If you have to work on the sun roof you have to take the whole roof lining off and most of the trim. Other than that is awesome!

This car has 201,000 miles on it and still running. I'm a big guy, 6'3" 245lbs and this car has more room that any other car that I have driven. I guess it's because its 2 seater and I can put the seat back as far as I want.

Strength:

-great gas mileage
-looks good
-fairly quick
-don't have to give people rides
-f**cking reliable
-corners fine
-roomy inside
-many after-market products for this car

Weakness:

-no back seat for ???
-drum brakes on the rear
-little body roll
-limited visibility out rear window (only 0n 84-87 models)

Great car to buy, good resale value, and a good bang for your buck. The car is also very easy and cheap to modify. Excellant car for a person who is poor, but wants a sports car.

Great gas milage yet plenty of zip
Sport look and feel for minimum $$$
Most reliable vehicle

Weakness:

A little loud ... this is a weakness?
Parts for this ain't cheap, but then, this is an import.

Nothing but fun driving this car. With over 200k on an original engine, on a cold winters day it gets 50 mi/ gal. There still is plenty of upper RPM power with a superbly designed gear box. Today's cars just approach this feat. Plenty of sports car look and feel.

I have replaced the ususal batteries, alternator, fuel pump, etc., but the car is a mechanical rock if you keep the timing belt up to par. Why did they ever stop making these?

Strength:

The blinker has a steady rythm. The horn is not annoying.

Weakness:

All possible parts that can be listed. (except for the blinker)

I will describe the scariest experience, I was driving down to the farm to feed my horse (are you being?) when I reached 100 on the highway hatch, yes the hatch flew off and smashed on the highway and forced several motorists off the road. Insurance did not like that! In fact the company does not cover that car anymore. Nevertheless, a garbage bag covers the rear hatch and I am trying to sell it desperatly! )too bad people know that teses cars are probleatic. (Like my horses.) Are you being?

This car is a rice rocket, I put an Integra GSR engine in it, with intake, headers, exhaust, etc. and i flies. I run low, very low 13's since i gutted the interior. love this car!!!

Weakness:

They stopped making it in 91, that sucks!

i recommend this to anyone who likes to fill gas every 3 weeks, or likes to burn a mustang or camaro off a red light. Then laugh at them. I paid only $3500, and put in $5000 and it faster than a integra GSR or mustang, and meighs as much as a go-cart.

Strength:

Bought it new, have never had a problem with it. It will run forever as long as you take care of it. Absolute blast to drive around the city. Great gas mileage.

Weakness:

road noise gets pretty loud on the freeway. If an SUV hits you, you're toast. friends think I'm too poor to afford new car (I'm just too cheap)

The CRX is destined to become a classic and defines the word value in a car. It is like the energizer bunny and will keep going and going if you take care of it. I would recommend it to anyone on a budget looking for a reliable, fun to drive car.

Strength:

Great handling. Short wheelbase allows it an incredibly small turning radius. Fairly balanced. I'm able to induce moderate oversteer at will. Not easy to do but definitely not hard. Quick steering response. Lots of room. Huge cabin. Great steering feel.Love the styling cause its no frills. Very utilitarian.

Weakness:

Its an old car. Short wheelbase makes it a little skittish on long, fast sweepers. Could use a little more hp. Starting to get a little rattley.

CRX is a great car. The car I bought had a polyurethane suspension bushing upgrade so it might not be representative of what you would normally find on a stock car. The ride was a bit stiff (partially due to the short wheelbase. It really bucks over washboard roads). But it is very roomy. Steering response is very good. Car has 150K miles right now and has absolutely no probs. My Civic had 160K miles (bought it new) and also had one minor cooling problem at 100K (one of the radiator hoses had developed a crack). Treat these cars right and they will reward you with years upon years of faithful service.

Currently setting up the CRX for track use. We'll see how it fares at the various track events and driver's schools to come but so far, it looks like a winner.

If you're looking for a cheap, sporty second car for track events, or even a sporty runabout for everyday driving and don't mind putting up with an old car, then this is the car for you. If you're expecting creature comforts and a smooth, plush ride, then you should look elsewhere.

87 CRX Si - also a great little car. Very nimble.
94 Civic Si - Nice, but felt heavy. Didn't feel as 'tossable'.
95 Mitsubishi Eclipse GST - FAST. Handled like a pig. But accelerated like a bat out of hell! Also, build quality was a bit spotty (fit didnt' seem to be as nice as in the Honda).
84 VW Jetta GLI - Not really impressed. Used as a commuter car. Did its job well. Broke down a couple of times due to cooling system probs as it got older and developed MANY rattles.

Strength:

Very VERY reliable, dont have to do much to make it a rocket. If you want a great car, and you dont like to make money. THIS IS the car for you. I bought mine fairly cheep. Engine is in great shape with 168k on it. Mine has quite a bit of body damage from when i bought it. Nothing a little fiberglass and bondo cant fix. Fuel Economy is the best i've seen. It's great driving to michagan and whizzing by your relatives while they fuel up. With some external body kits, and some altezza lights. This car will look better that a 50k bmw.

Weakness:

The noise. But thats why you put a 500 watt stereo in it, right?

Very cheap, and stylish what wouldnt you like about it?
