WELL, I BOUGHT THIS CAR TO BOOST MY LOW SELF ESTEMM EGO, MUST SAY IT SURE HELPED. ITS A BEAUTIFUL CHEERY RED WITH TAN LEATHER EASY TO CLEAN UP NOT MUCH PROBLESM MINOR THINGS "KNOCK oN WOOD", HAD TO REPLACE CENSORS. THE CAR IS MY FAVORITE CAR YET EVEN OVER MUSTANG, SPORTY YET ECONOMICAL.

Build quality was disgusting. Ford should be ashamed. Parts are outragous. It is always $1000 to fix anything. Oil leaks into spark plug wells. Total ignition failure. A/C compressor failure. Distributor failure. Check engine light always on. Poor front brakes. Lousy paint. Bad locks. A total piece of junk and an eloquent expression of why many people will never buy American. DO NOT BUY THIS CAR OR ANY FORD PRODUCT. You have been warned.

This car was wonderful for 40,000 miles and absolutly horrible for 40,000 miles. I cannot belive the cost to keep this car running. Save yourself some money and get something more reliable and less expensive to maintain (like a Morgan or an older Fiat, Alfa of a Porsche 928)

I bought the V6 type, and I thought the car sucked. okay okay I was drunk when I bought it, but when I woke up the next day I though "Oh S@*t What have I done?" Then I took it for a cruise, and it sucked even more. Needless to say I sold it as soon as possible for more than I paid for it! Anyway I would never buy a car like that again, especially with that lame ass Mazda Motor, and those "kick my ass" looks. Give me a Honda or hell even a Geo any day.

This car is fast It well run forever i drive like a jerk slam gears slideing around corners do 120 on the highway and it holds up every day i hit a deer and a car smah the hole front end in twice poped it back out and drove it some more i think i would have to blow the thing upbefore the engine would go bad i got it when it had 130,000 i trade when i had 190,000 i hada some small clutch prblems i also put a new clutch in but that was my fault i learned how to drive a stick with this car it tock a couple week an a new clutch i burnt up but it was the orignal clutch id it was 150,000 before i changed if you wat to drive fast for a cheap price buy one of these it well suprize you DONT EVER BUY A 93 OR NEWER PROBE CRAPY CARS THAT LOOK GOOD

ive read some people giving horrible reviews of this car, and im sure some of their complaints may be valid. I however love my car! it has good power and handles well, it doesnt respond all that well to modifications but i dont think it matters that much. it beats most other cars in its class in every aspect, especially for the price! if your buying it used expect to have to do the common maintenance, because all cars have their problems. personally im very interested in cars so i wanted to try to take on all my maintenance myself. it definatley helps cut down on costs. if you end up getting a probe it is a must that you become a member of probetalk.com, they have helped me through everything with my car. all in all its a really fun car to drive and is pretty darn quick. a definite good buy, im very happy with it.

Still a good looking car, nearly 7 years later. Easy to drive, even out near performance limits. Sporty, very quick (I hate using fast if it''s not F-A-S-T), forgiving to drive. Easy commuter, despite performance makeup. Reliable.

A great out-of-college car, especially if you can find a ''95 to ''97 with low miles. Have run the car for two years, and put 50,000 on it. Car and Driver''s advertised 0-60 blast of 7 flat may be a bit ambitious from a ''93. mine has 92,000 on it, and is nearly as quick as a 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT, which has it by 40hp. Great handling, although it comes at some expense of ride refinement. Tracks well, stable in cornering/avoidance, even at high speed. Don''t expect much more than 25 mpg from the 6. As fast as any 170hp Integra GS-R out there, and handles better. Ford Motor Co. "admitted" its mistake in cutting the Probe when it released the new Cougar -- look close.

expensive parts, get shaky after do many miles. start to fall apart if not checked on daily.

i purchased the 92 F. Probe for my 16th birthday. in the past 2 years i have replaced the following components: transmission, struts, brakes, brake shoes, oil line, egr valve, paint, axle, tie rod ends, window motor, spark plug wires, water pump + belts. i loved the car, but it was so expensive to maintain. in fact, i totalled it last week, and i am attempting to buy another probe i like them so well. they are great started cars. turn a lot of heads, and get a lot of attention.

POOR MANUFACTURING, ALWAYS ENDS UP IN THE SHOP, PARTS FOR THIS CAR ARE TOO COSTLY TO REPLACE, OVERALL, THE PROBE WAS DISCONTINUED IN 1997 FOR A REASON!!!! IT IS NOT A GOOD RELIABLE CAR AT ALL!

I BOUGHT MY 94 FORD PROBE GT IN 1999. AT THE TIME IT LOOKED LIKE A NICE CAR, AND THE RIDE WAS REALLY SMOOTH. I MYSELF AM INTO CAR CUSTOMIZING SO I BOUGHT THE CAR WITH INTENTIONS ON FIXING HER UP AND ENTERING HER IN A CAR. SHOW. THE FIRST YEAR WAS GOOD. I PURCHASED A "SUPRA" WING, AND BOUGHT SOME 16" CHROME ALBA LEGACYS. IT WAS STARTING TO LOOK BETTER. I WAS IN THE PROCESS OF BUYING A KIT FOR THE CAR WHICH COST AROUND $1500. THEN MY CAR STARTED RUNNING FUNNY, MAKING FUNNY NOISES,CHECK ENGINE LIGHT KEPT COMING ON AND OFF, AND THE SPARK PLUGS AND WIRES WERE HAVING TO BE REPLACED. IT SEEMED THAT EVERYTHING THAT WAS WRONG WITH MY CAR WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY. SO AFTER THIS WAS DONE AND OVER WITH I EVENTUALLY GOT OVER IT. A YR LATER I GOT MY GROUND EFFECTS AND OTHER MODIFICATIONS. BUT, TO THIS DAY THE SAME THINGS KEEP CONSTANTLY HAPPENING TO MY CAR. Car like no other! let me describe it this way, fast fast fast...., looks great, chicks fall for it and i just love it. since i bought it i had no problems with it. I drive it to the max all the time, and it still seems i cant get it to quit. talk about beating other cars?? no problem, v6??? i take em down all the time, the only v6 that i couldnt beat was 95 SHO, but hey, they beat stangs man.great car overall!!!

Fantastic car!! I had love the car since it was a Motor Trend car of the year!!! Good acceleration, good handling considering its weight and very streetable. It is well balance with in it self, the suspension and brakes can keep up with the power it delivers well. Easy to controll on the edge of traction. Alot of new cars come with more power but for a used sport compact it is great and there is a fairly good aftermarket backing these days from Brospeed, Greddy, Pacesetter, Weapon R, and others.
