Strength:

Very responsive, good gas mileage. Sharp looking car.

Weakness:

Seems to get a lot of damage from rocks in the road. The hood is chipped in many places due to debris on the road. Will need to get it repainted.

Wow! I've missed a fast sporty car! I bought this car with 147,000 miles on it and it does not act like it has high mileage. It seems to be a very responsive car that just wants to go fast. Very nice driver oriented console. I now try to find excuses to drive places. Very good gas mileage. Clutch is a bit touchy though, but that may be due to the fact that the previous owner just replaced it. And the ABS light does stay on. Other than that, it is a very comfortable ride and is great when getting the admiring looks from men when they see a woman driving it!

Strength:

The AWD is great and something that I need. This is my second car and I'm glad that I bought it. I'm used to a V6 engine but I was surprised with the capabilities that this engine offered.

Weakness:

I have put about $1,100 into repairs but now that everything has been fixed it runs really well. The timing belts, alternator, circuit board, air intake, and battery all needed to be replaced. I fear the tansmission is next.

I really like the car even though I have only had it for about five months. I realize now though that i think that i paid a little too much. I have lots of friends that like it and it's very quick with exceptional traction in snow.

EVERYTHING! I really like the turbo. I've driven non-turbo talons before and just dont feel the power I did in the turbo's. Great feature.

Weakness:

I really think DSM (Diamond Star Motors) could have done something with the back seat to make it more confortable. Also, the spare tire takes alot of room away from the trunk space which is different from previous models. All you have to do is take the spare out though. I dont use my trunk anyways since i put a system in it!

I LOVVVVEEE This car! Its quick, its fast, it runs really smooth. The car is ten years old and it runs like brand new. you couldn't wish for a better setup than AWD, AC, power windows, turbo, even a sunroof, this car is the perfect first car. I just wish they still made 'em

timing belt sucks

I bought an 1992 Eagle Talon non-turbo with automatic trans. I bought it about 2 months ago and am loving it. When i first got the car the transmission died but after i got it fixed and had all the belts replaced this car kicked ass. The handling of this car is great. I and 6'5" and i have plenty of room for me. But the back seats will not fit anybody.

Strength:

The car's power, handling, interior convenience, comfortable seats for a small car.

Weakness:

Reliability could be better, gas mileage could also be better.

This is my second car, my first being a Mazda MX-3. This car's handling, performance and reliability exceeds that of my first car. The engine runs good and is strong- I have the 2.0L non-turbo 5-speed version. The car's steering and braking is good. Its big 16" tires grip the road well. One complaint I have is shifting from 1st to 2nd- it is tricky and it grinds or clunks when the car is not warmed-up. The interior is sporty and fun, as well as comfortable. The 6 stock speakers offer good sound too. The back seat should not be used by anyone over the age of 12, or they may experience cramping. The engine is loud, but I find it not to be irritating, but more of a reminder of the car's power. Though the interior is fairly small, I am 6 feet tall with long arms and legs, and it offers plenty of room for me. A fun car to drive.

Weakness:

Dont rag the hell out of your dsm because you will pay the proce i know from experience about mine and all teh things i had to replace because i used to rag on mine all the time like it was a race car. Even though it redlines at 7 dont take it there.

I bought this car about 4 months ago with 171k on it and i Liked the car that is why i bought it so cheap. I wanted to work on the car i knew i would have to get a new engine and that i did. I got a 95 eclipse engine 2.0 and put it in there with 68 l on it. Ive replaced the alternator, radiator, all the belts, and many more. Many problems with these cars are the belts as mine squeaks sometimes when i start it in the cold. There is a lot of bad things wrong with this car, but overall if you do find the right one you will be fine. Ive invested a lot into the car and now it runs fine.
