I love my car. I live in central new york i need a car that handles in the snow; my car has always started for me and surprisingly handles really well in the snow. I've never had any real problems with it. It has a nice kick to her. I get decent gas milelage. I do a lot of driving to work and highway driving is great. Well worth the effort of the car.
Weakness:
The car is high maintence. The car spits and sputters every 3000 miles to get the oil changed, it'll only take the good gas, stuff like that. You need to pamper the car but when you do your car will treat you just as well. I did have to replace the brakes and tires fast but i admit i drive hard with my car to so anyone who says that doesn't help the wear and tear is lying. But nothing major has come up yet and i have 55000 miles on my car it just 2 years. See i told you i drive a lot =) One more thing your car insurance is going to go through the roof. You're now going to own a sports car, that they don't even want to think about fixing. The cost of body repairs on the car is very high so your insurance is going to go up. I hit a deer that only damaged my driver door and a small part of my hood and it came to over 4,000 worth of damage. Over all i can't complain about my car. The up keep is high but your car will pay you back in spades. My car has never let me down and gets me through winters just fine for a nice looking sports car. Similar Products Used: None |

Strength:
Great looks, very aerodynamic, viper-like front end. Perfect size interior. Great factory stereo. Great gas mileage. One of the fastest 4-cylinder cars I have ever seen. Nothing like the feeling of hitting 6500 rpms!!!!
Weakness:
Bad brakes, rotors tend to warp. When going over 60, there is a lot of interior noise. Could have a little more power, but can be easily fixed I have put about 30,000 miles on it in the past year(a lot of trips from college to home)- and I havent had one problem that has kept me off the road. I through on some aftermarket 17" wheels, a bra, and tinted the windows. I added some performance parts to the motor, and put in a new 1100 watt stereo!!! I graduate college in a year, and I'll probably buy a new R/T. I recommend this car to anyone who wants to drive with style. Similar Products Used: 1991 Grand Am |

V6 ES
Strength:
This car turns heads everywhere i go. Even the people driving the BMWs and and Jags. I love the top speed that you can get out of this small V6 and it always impresses people when i show them the 150 mph speedometer. Another one of my favorite qualities is the factory sound system.
Weakness:
definately the worst quality is the fact that you cant do anything to this car. i've searched everywhere for anything to up its performance but there just isn't anything. I really want to improve it's acceleration. 9 seconds 0 - 60 time really bugs me. Ground effects would be nice to, with dual exhaust. It's a very reliable car. the only thing i have had to get done was an oil change, and the brakes fixed. But then again, ive only had the car for about 6 months. I love this car though and right now i wouldnt trade it for anything else. the only reason that it gets 4 stars overall instead of 5 is because they should have put a bigger engine in it to back up the sporty looks. Similar Products Used: compared to my '91 Hundai Scoupe, this car was sent from God. But compared to other cars in its class, it's one of the nicest looking cars, but there are definately some more powerful cars out there. |

This car can make people with nice cars turn their heads. Sleek, Long body style makes it just like a fast sports car but with good gas mileage.
Weakness:
N/A With the many standard options makes it a choice worth bying. If head gaskets are the only problem, there must be a reason, for instance, if it is a dodge it must have DODGE POWER which mitsubishi didn't realize the true power of AMERICAN BUILT CARS. Depending on your taste, for speed...get the 5-speed manual... for cruising sporty like...get the 4-speed automatic. Well, it starts! Thats were all the fun begins.
Weakness:
Well as you all know head gaskets. I am a auto technician for Goodyear, and let me tell you how many of these i have done in my 6 years so far in the business. Yes yes.. the brakes and rotors... best recommendation it to put aftermarked loaded caliper's and rotor's on front and rear.. this is expensive, but will help eliminate constant brake wear. As for the head gasket, well i got 64K and have done mine only once just 3,000 miles ago... but for me things are alot less expensive. A desent car when things are not leaking, and brakes are working. Would not recommend purchasing one; but if you must, make sure atleast these items have been serviced. bad things come in three's. Weakness:
the speakers had to be replaced after the third day of my wife owning this vehicle, one month later the heater on the back window broke. I tried to make my future wife take it back then but she said no. she curses herself everyday now because the trade-in value is 3000 less than what she owes on it. one day while she was driving from work the thing quit. the torque converter had to be replaced. this was at 39000 miles. where is the quality? the interior looks like the side of a navy ship.(haze gray) just plain! you have to wait to open the window and the trunk after it is washed or it rains. the car has started to stall again and we will get rid of it next week for a reliable vehicle. i called the dodge corp. customer service to complain about the product and they act as if it was my fault that their car is not up to standards. do you ever wonder why their dealer service is so bad? well take a look at the cars they have to repair daily. the cars are piled up over there like their in a junk yard. i have never considered buying one of THE NEW DODGES. they lure in suckers everyday with cash rebates and 1.9 apr but in the end you will have to shell out much more!!! with honda you don't get rebates because you are getting a quality vehicle. i guess its like a marriage, you can marry for looks and get treated like dirt or marry for love and get quality and longevity. in summary, if you are just looking for something to ride in without spending too much money don't buy an avenger. its better to finance 24000 for an accord than finance an 18000 avenger and spend 6000 in repairs out of pocket. Next time i am sure she will research the automobile instead of purchasing the first thing that looks good. oh yeah did i mention that the paint on the mirrors are two shades lighter than that of the car. whats up with that? throw in the towel dodge!!!! u r finished! Nice car for the money. Pretty good acceleration/top end power for a 2.5 6 cyl. Good stock stereo, though I added new mids and 2 10 in 500watt MTX woffers. Makes lots of heads turn, and everybody in the world doesnt have one..(hondas,mustangs.camaros etc...)The 150mph spedometer is pretty cool too. Off the line acceleration could be a little bit better..but crusing at 50 and puttin your foot down.you could take a z28
Weakness:
Nothing major. It likes to wine from about 55-65mph. Brakes warp easy. Access to radio isnt so great..but all things I can live with I love the car would recomend it to anybody despite some of the things I have herd. Great reliable car would by another one if they still made them Similar Products Used: 91 plymouth laser...good for a girl who doesnt care about power sein how this car has a massive 1.8 litre(yeah right) |

It is a nice looking car.. really gets a lot of people to turn their heads and wonder what car you are driving. roomy. and gets good gas mileage.
Weakness:
I got mine like no longer then a 7 months ago and I had the head gaskit replaced already. But it has 149 miles on it so you expect that. And the little thing replaced I really like this car like said it has it problems but all cars do . if your thinking about getting one. then you should know that they are not powerful as they look. but if you really want that could be fixed. I am a teenage Driver and it held up for me and i don't drive it easy. Similar Products Used: na |

Avenger Sport
Strength:
Outstanding looks. It turns heads everywhere I go, and it is comfortable. It is a great highway cruiser, especially because I have the 2.5 liter V6. The automatic transmission allows you to nearly red line under hard acceleration. I bought it new, and I have loved each and every mile I have done so far (7300).
Weakness:
Transmission can have a very hard shift out of 1st gear under hard acceleration, however when driven normally it is just fine. Just buy one if you can find one. You will definately love it. If you can find one optioned out to the max, do so. You won't regret it. I would recommend the 2000 Avengers, because it is the last year they were made, and by then Dodge had all the bugs worked out. Dodge truly had styling in their mind when they made the Avenger.
