Strength:

The best feature has to be climate control.Just dial the temp and the car does the rest altering temp, flap position, fan speed as it is needed.Ecellent Sony stereo.Good performance and fuel economy.30-36 mpg average driving with Auto trans.Love the 8way power seat.

Weakness:

Overdrive on the autobox makes light throttle driving a bit jerky, but i think im being a bit fussy.Rear exhaust baffles worked loose after a week.Daewoo picket the car up.Took it back, fitted a new rear box and returned the gar the same day, pretty good service.

the Laganza cdx has to be the the best value luxury car pound for pound,in its class. To find another english or jap car with all the specs that you get with the Daewoo, would cost another £10,000 at least?.

Strength:

Nice stylish design. Black exterior and grey leather interior very simple and luxurious. Price I got is icredible compared to anything on the market.

Weakness:

Vibration during acceleration at certain RPM. V-6 should be available for more kick...and yes...the cup holders are small

Very very sweet car for the ridiculously low amount of money I paid. Runs well and smooth. Got AC, automatic, leather seats, kicking stereo with CD, cruise control...the works.

Strength:

Very easy to drive. Comforatble over long distances.
Excellent Sound System.. I rarely play it below 15.
Good Brakes, very safe.
Excellent lighting (external).

Weakness:

It has poor fuel economy. I do 450 kms on a tank (at most)
The boot doesn't have a proper opening to the actual cabin.. It is not as useful as a honda civics (for example) too much walls in the place..
The arial can sometimes hit the spoiler.

It is toooo slooww for me...
I have the auto 2.2. I only do city driving, and I like to be fastest of the lights :)
I am planning on buying a new 2001 leganza (manual) and adding a supercharger / sports chip / sports exhaust.. Then I will beat all of those V8 motorheads.... in a Daewoo :)

This car is excellent value for money. In Australia, there is no competing car in that price range.. All other cars cost heaps more.

If there was a V6 option for the leganza, then, I would jump at it. For normal consumers, the 2.2L is just fine. But, if you added a grunty engine, then, the car would be quite a sporty purchase.

Strength:

all loaded for a good price. It is a good deal.

Weakness:

the cup holders, that is it!

I like the italian design, all the equipments of a luxury car, great mileage, very comfortable ride, I read some bad reviews about Daewoo such as its weak engine, poor resale value, I think it has good resale value (based on the black book official used car market guide)). Although it is a four cylinder,I think it has competent power train. I think these people who gave bad reviews must not have driven it for a long time. A dollar for a dollar comparison, this is the best mid size car in the market.

Strength:

Extras are a big plus. Economical and fun to drive. Has a stylish look which compares to the new Jaguar and also Lexus. Smooth riding and plenty of space for a mid size car.

Weakness:

What is with the cup holders? Needs some attention but other that than no real complaints. Free care covers everything really. Last model has 55k klm's and front brakes are shot including discs.

I am on Leganza number three in a few weeks time. Had both a 2 litre & a 2.2 litre. Overall a classy car with a lot of extras

Model Reviewed: Leganza CDX

Strength:

Great styling; turns the heads of toyota owners; good bang for the buck. I looked at several vehicles and compared feature-to-feature and the price of the Leganza is jaw-dropping.

Weakness:

Fuse box covers falls off easily; Underpowered for American drivers (will need a V6); radio controls are small.

Reliability is the only unknown about this car since it hasn't been in America that long. I would suggest that anyone looking for a mid-price car should be at least open enough to look at it. My wife's family drives Toyota faithfully, but she dared to look at the Daewoo's and she bought one. I think she made a good decision. I would recommend this car to anyone that isn't afraid of buying something just because of the name brand.

Strength:

We still can't believe the 'bang for the buck' that we recieved! Our CDX Leganza is loaded from top to bottom with luxury you usually only find in cars twice this price tag. A low cost 100,000 mile warranty, paid service checks, roadside service, etc. We love the dual (sport-cruise) transmission.

Weakness:

I can't imagine asking for more value for my dollar. If I was going to change anything it would be usable cup holders, remote trunk entry, and better speakers to match the radio.

If you are wanting the luxury of a Lexes and the cost of a Civic, you will think you're dreaming after you test drive the CDX Leganza. Look around at other $15,000.00 - 18,000.00 cars and see what you DON'T GET as compared to this car.

Strength:

Styling, size, affordability, warranty, maintenance (oil changes), road-side assistance, and dealer reliability all gave me the peace-of-mind to purchase the automobile.

Weakness:

I too did not like the small cupholders. And, the lack of cruise control on morning commutes (although a small thing) keeps me watching my speed.

Although Daewoo hasn't been around in the U.S. very long. It has been around for many years. I have not yet had the car very long. However, I feel confident that it was a sound purchase decision. This car is loaded with many creature comforts you would normally expect on more expensive cars. The atmosphere created by the styling, ride, and sound system makes you want to take the long way home. Look out Honda!
