Strength:

Handles very good, good gas milage (31 MPG highway)

Weakness:

Uncomfortable seat

Have problems that seem to go with this vehicle. Fuse box cover, hot key, noisy engine, soft brake pedal, air bag trouble light... Dealer said no problem noted. I believe that we Daewood owners should refrain from buying Daewoo electronic equipment if they do not honor our warranties. I will let all my friends know that I have not been treated right by Daewoo of America. I will also tell all my friends that I bought the Daewoo at the Ingram Park Chrysler dealer here in San Antonio so they will know what could happen to them if they purchase a vehicle from IPAC.

Strength:

Spunky for a small engine, roomy inside, nice handling.

Weakness:

What can I say? everything is falling apart!! The auto windows stopped, athe radio went out, the seat stiching is unwinding, the company filed CH-13 and now no one will work on it because they can't get parts. The head lights are loose, the dash molding has lifted off, the abs breaks are of cheap quality apparently and so far; there are over 34 other owners with the same problems. Our extended service plan BY DAEWOO isn't even being accepted. The FEW dealers around are claiming that they are not an authorized daewoo dealer and therefore are not liable to service it under the Daewoo plan. The cars value has declined soo much that we are now upside down in the loan. I'm trying to see if i can give it to a charity for a tax write off. STAY AWAY FROM THESE CARS!! We are not the only one who has had problems.

Bought it new and thought it was the best car I've owned. Then I hit 30k miles and all hell broke loose... The car had gone from a perfect 10 to a devastaing -10! IF YOU PLAN ON BUING ONE, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST!!!!!!!!

styling and looks features price mileage 16500 for less then 9G on a 2000 sx

Weakness:

Some parts aren't of the higest quality Aftermarket poor Daewoo is bankrupt but GM is servicing warranty

Intially I hated Daewoo cars but after looking at the price and the options you get it didn't turn out to be so bad. I have had my Leganza for about 4 months now and I really like it. I don't think that anyone could find a car for twice what I paid ($7000 + trade) with the features that it has. Not to mention my trade had a bad tranny. I have had to go to the dealer once and they took care of me well - I think may people mistake problems w/ a dealer for problems w/ the car maker, a good dealer will make things right. I give this car overall about 85% or above average but other have given it less then it should have so I bumped up a little

Strength:

It originally drove great, taking curves and hills with ease. The style was impressive and was mistaken a lot for a more expensive make and model.

Weakness:

Now, the engine rattles when started and knocks until it warms up. The front end will not stay in alignment and wears out tires. The brakes need replacing every 6 months and deposit massive amounts of black powder on the rims. The defroster does not clear the windshield and side windows causing the driver to pull over and wait until they slowly clear. The dealers that bragged it up now appear embarresed to even talk about it. Overall, I am very disgusted this this product and the lack of support I've received from the dealers in fixing these problems. Not only would I never buy a car from Daewoo again I've shied away from purchasing ANY Daewoo product because of this one bad experience. It this product is this shoddy the rest probably are also.

This automobile is from the land of the 'Almost right". It had a good price, it looked great, it drove great, and it had good gas milage. With a year to go on a 36 month loan it is falling apart around me. The weather stripping around the driver side door is crumbling and breaking off. The leather cover has lifted off the dash and the snap-in bead on the dash has popped loose. The fuse box constantly falls off.

Strength:

The price

Weakness:

The car rattles while driven, the key is hot when taken out of the ignition, the speakers are no good had one replaced one day the next day another speaker went out, the panel on both the left and right front doors needed to be replaced, the ignition had to be replaced. I put the vehicle in park and I had to fight with the car for about five minutes to get it out of park. Everytime I take the vehicle to the dealership I was told the car is operating normal and the resale value on the vehicle is horrible around 3,000 dollars and the car only has 28,000 miles on it no bodily damage to the vehicle. The resale value is not good at all. It would be a waste to purchase this vehicle. Daewoo has filed bankruptcy and you will be lucky to find a dealer open to service the vehicle. I wish that I never purchased the vehicle.

No one should purchase this vehicle.

Strength:

Seats up to 5 people comfortably and has a good size trunk and that you can''t lock yourself out of this car. Very attractive car inside and out.

Weakness:

No fuse box cover on my car/scratches on the back bumper and was told by the salesman that this car would be fixed. I owned this car for 5 weeks and called the salesman to ask when was he going to take care of the promises made about scratches on bumper/fuse box cover/owe me a full tank of gas/window on drivers side not air tight - and he told me that Archer is no longer in the Daewoo business, that this is a chevolet product. Like what''s going on? Where do I take my car now? He was mumbling so much that I now am very nervous about purchasing this vehicle. He informed me and my daughter that this Leganza has a 4cyl mercedes engine in it -that the Koreans stop making a 4 cylinder mercedes so they put it in this Leganza. Cup holder to small and in an odd place.

I do like this car but am concerned about when this car needs repairs - I''ve heard nothing but bad things about getting them worked on. My brother-in-law told me"do not buy this car and turned to my sister his wife and said do not let your sister buy this car. No one wants to work on them.

Strength:

styling- i REALLY like the resemblence to the jaguar. and people assume i spent way more than i did. nice sound for a factory sound system. fairly compact on the outside with a surprising amount of interior space. power button. very useful for climbing the hills in hawaii. quite a bit of power for a four banger. decently powerful air conditioning system. handling is nice.

Weakness:

fuse box cover pops off at horribly inconvenient times. extremely difficult to get parts for in hawaii. there are no dealers. cd player doesn''t always want to accept the discs. the problem isn''t the cup holders, it''s the design of the cups. the bk king size cup fits just fine. no one seems to want to work on it because it''s not a name that''s familiar to a lot of people. can''t get them to understand that a lot of what''s under the hood is gm.

i bought the car used so i didn''t have any say in the accessories. only had 26000 miles on it at purchase. like the car a lot, especially since i have two small children. plenty of trunk space (i can fit almost anything in there) and the leg room is excellent. i would recommend this car to anyone, especially service members since most of us are on a limited income.

Strength:

Nice color. Good on gas.

Weakness:

Cheap unattainable parts.

Everything was fine until that little check engine light begaan to come on constantly. I was told that my gas cap was not on properly. Now my timing belt broke and in the process screwed up some valves and cracked the head. I found out that the timing belt was only guaranteed for 60,000 miles and I had 76,000 at the time. The car has been down for 3 week now due to the amount of time it takes to get parts.
