I absolutely LOVE this car!! I bought it for an unheard-of price of $6,350 with only 13,000 miles on it!! I have had absolutely NO problems with it. It is an absolute PLEASURE to drive. It handles like it is on tracks! It is extremely comfortable and quiet. Can't rave enough about it!! Nothing but compliments from everyone.

Bankruptcy Parts availability?

My Geo Metro was totaled in may/2002).I payed about $7000 for that new 10 years ago with no options. This Laganza was a new car at the car lot, obviously it had sat there a while. The sticker price was $17000, I asked what their price was, they said $13000, I said $10000, they said ok. About the same price as the basic Geo, however, this has leather seats, a nice CD sound system and power everything... I enjoy driving it and it has about 12000 miles on it now. I figure I will drive it till it dies...The dealership assured me at the time they would honor the warranty, however, I haven't had opportunity to test them yet.

This piece of junk!!! Why would ayone wanna buy a Daewoo? The first week we had the car we had to get it jumped 3 times and then have it towed to the dealer. We had if towed to the dealer near my house but they wouldn't take it. I guess its because the bankrupt situation. Then all the door handles and the automatic climate control started to peal(1 year to get new handles).Then the ac, heat and defroster stoped working. Had it replaced 3 times.The car was left at the dealer for 4 months to get it fixed while i was still making the payments!! and then when I went to pick it up it still didn't work!! So they taped the wire up. so far working but only been a month since fixed the 3rd time. I forgot this one had to get new brakes after 7000 miles!! Now something new the engine knocks when you start the car in the cold. junk junk junk korean's should learn how to make cars before selling them!!

Can get new spare parts without any problem. The dealership is near where I live. Let me know if you need help.

No resale value, making it hard to trade in or sell. Not a difficult decision to drive it for a few more years to get maximum value out of this car.

I love this car! It offers everything a driver could ask for and more at this price. It looks like a Lexus 300 without the price! Road holding and mileage is excellent.

we got this car for a great deal it was black with everything the leather seats, spoiler, pin stripe, and etc. a bunch of our freinds thought it was a lexus at first. then we heard about the bancruptcy so we tryied selling it on ebay and the auto trader for $9000 and we got one offer for $7000 (which we should have taken). so then afterr that we heard about gm taking it over so we thought what ever we'll drive it until it dies, so a few days ago its window regulator broke (the window is down and wont come up) so we cant find the part any where so if you can help please write us at crazykracker7777@aol.com thank you

strong motor for it's size and still surprises me. cruises easily at 80mph and still has more to give. reliable after 24k miles. no problems other than a loose backing plate for left rear brake and was fixed under warranty same day. great car so far.

fuse panel cover... velcro'd now air filter... replaced with cold air intake soft suspension... lowered and replaced cup holder... used for everything but cups

overall styling is good. always gets mistaken for either a lexus gs300. valeu for the dollar is hard to beat in this vehicle category. japanese counterparts easily cost $5000 more minimum.

Weak engine No one will honor the warranty

This is my first car and I bought it used. It was a nice car until 6 months after I bought this car everything went wrong. The timing belt broke, valve need to be replaced, need a new engine harness, and other things are wrong with the components in the engine. I cant even trade this car in. I would recommend that no one should buy this car.

When I bought my car I couldn't believe the options! I"m a little concerned about the bankrupcy. My son had a slight head on and the right headlight support was broken and I've been waiting 6 months for a replacement. I only have 18000 miles but fear, after reading some reviews, I'll be stuck with a car I have to pay to get rid of. My hope is another manufacturer will pick this up and save us all!

Bankruptcy!!!! I fear the plastic with break like on most other Daewoo products (Years ago I had a '89 Pontiac Lemans which had all Daewoo plastic and everything kept breaking)

We bought the car in May 2001 needing a cheap economy car for around town errands. We are very pleased with the Leganza SE... the price, performance, design and everything else. We were upset about the bankruptcy... didn't feel we would be effected too much. Well after 26K miles we needed to change brakes (not too bad for a lot of stop and go driving). We were unable to locate some of the parts at the local auto parts store. We then checked with the dealerships around Houston, none in stock and have to wait on a list. We decided to trade in the car for a 2003 Altima, but the trade value offered was only $4,000 (we still owe $11K)... Yes, I feel very disapointed about the value drop. I've decide to keep it for a few more years and then use it for trade bait at that time. I'm still very pleased with car - we've never had a single mechanical problem! I can't say that about our Sebring, Expedition or our Impalia (Chrysler, Ford and Chevrolet). I hope parts will become available soon....
