Chrysler Sebring LX
Strength:
stylish, fast, smooth, fun to drive
Weakness:
resale value An excellent car. Bought it at 10k with salvaged title. The only problem I had was the oxygen sensor which was replaced under factory warranty. The car is fun to drive. An excellent highway cruiser and daily commuter. Moderate low-end power, but high-end with 200 hp V6 is great. Now I have 50k on it and I've enjoyed every mile. Factory stereo is good, interior space and design are excellent. Handling and cornering are great. Steering is stiff and feels like a sports car. The major weakness is a resale value Similar Products Used: Pontiac Sunbird 92, VW Jetta, 2000 |

NONE-actually when you factor in how concerned Chrysler is about DRIVE=LOVE. I'm not getting any LOVE people.
Weakness:
One big weakness-CHRYSLER-even though they had a billion $ loss last quarter they still don't get it. They blamed my driving habits for causes brakes to go bad after 21,000 miles. I've owned cars for 30 years and NEVER had this problem. A/C blower motor went after 2 years use (guess thats my fault too)Steering makes too much noise, windows cause radio static Ah forget it, I'll be here all day with this stuff. The Sebring had a refeshing style and simple dash. This was the lure. But all I reeled in was garbage. Chrysler sells it and you own it and you keep owning it until all the problems that aren't covered under warranty are repaired if ever Similar Products Used: Wish I had used a similar product, I would bought it !!! As for Chrysler.........See Ya. Hmmmmmmm wonder if Acura sells cars ? |

Sebring Convertible
Strength:
Looks good, comfortable seating for passengers.
Weakness:
I won't lease or own another Sebring....too many repair surprises. This is the 2nd Sebring convertible that I've leased. First 1998 the steering column froze(but was under warranty) car had to be towed to dealer. This 2001 has been a real problem this year, Feb. front wheel bearing and driver's power window not working properly; June in for rear brake clip; today 8/13 flatbedded to dealer because the rear sway link busted and the car was not drivable. If I were driving on a major highway the rear wheel could have come off (not under warranty - 37,000 miles and it will cost $400 dollars for parts, labor and wheel alignment. Does this seem like something that should go in 37,000 miles? I don't think so. Similar Products Used: VW Passat; Honda Accord |

Great gas mileage, beautiful car, no CAR problems in the 20+ months I have owned it. Has lots of cool gadgets, and the electroluminescent lights inside are awesome and sporty. I will miss this car when I sell it becuz it has spoiled me so much!!!
Weakness:
The chrome wheels cut into the tires, making me have to put air in them about three times a month. Pain in the booty!!! Depreciates in value too much.. I bought it for almost $30k and car dealerships are now offering me $15k for it. WHATEVER!!!! I am 24, and it almost looks kind of old for me... my friends say I need a sportier looking car, not such a classy one. Great looking car; I have a blue-silver one with a navy top and it gets lots of looks and compliments. The interior is beautiful--cream leather and royal blue... I just wish it weren't so expensive. I will buy another one when I am having my midlife crisis in 15 years. Similar Products Used: none, previous car was a chevy cavalier, and that can't compare to this!!! |

Sebring Lxi Convertible
Strength:
Hey, its a convertible. Its comfortable, even in the back seat. The sound system is good, performance is solid, it looks great, and compared to those poor slobs in BMW 325ci's, I saved $15K.
Weakness:
It's tough to think of any. I would like a seperate compressor button for the air conditioning. The lever to move the seats back and forth could be more solid. Also, why do they put the owners manual in a plastic folder? At least Ford give you a zippered book cover. A great car. We bought it because we needed a convertible that seated four and had a useable back seat. We considered BMW, Volvo, Toyota, Ford and Volkswagon, and went with Chrysler despite some concerns about historical reliability. We have been completely pleased with the product so far, and we were glad to see the most recent JD Powers ratings that put Chrysler ahead of Mercedes! We had no delivery flaws, other than a scratch in the paint inside the trunk. This car makes every drive a mini-vacation. Similar Products Used: Mazda Miata, BMW 325, Chrysler Lebaron. |

Strength:
Smooth ride. Quick acceleration.
Weakness:
Brakes and cheap workmanship. I had this car 2 days and was already in for service(Gas leak, and solenoid). The braking is horrible and squeaks constantly. I am so sorry already that I bought this car. Especially hearing everyone comments when they see the car I bought. Seems like everyone but me knew not to by a Chrysler product. I can't find any thing good about this car!!!!!!!
Weakness:
The whole entire car!!!!! I purchased this car in Jan. of 2002... The biggest mistake I ever made. This car is the biggets piece of crap. I have had nothing but problems. It has been back to the dealer 27 times not including routine mantiance. I have only had the car for 1 1/2 years. They have replace the Skim Module 4 times. Each time they replaced the module they kept the car at least 4 days. They replaced all 24 lifters in the moter and the car still makes noise and doesn't run right. They kept the car for 7 days for this repair. (Chrysler has a hard time trying to figure out whats wrong with the car) The front end rattles when you turn corners. They said they fixed it but it still makes noise. They replaced the bearing in the front tire. I could go on and on. If I new then what I know now about all the problems and all the problems that everybody else has with these cars I would have never purchased this car!!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS CAR TO ANYONE!!! If you do decide to buy a Sebring I wish you the best of luck!!! I WILL never EVER buy another Chrysler product again. I am looking in to the Lemon Law right now. I don't feel thats its fair to try and sell this car to anyone knowing all the problems they will have in the future!!! Similar Products Used: I had a Saturn L300 I thought that car was a piece of crap... I was wrong I should have kept it. I would recommend the Saturn over the Chrysler any day!!! |

The vehicle gives terrific gas milage. I get about 600km per tank (about 54 liters)
Weakness:
Cost of the 215 50VR17 tires is about $250.00 each. I purchased my Sebring new in 1997. Since that time I have been required to do next to nothing to this vehicle other than regular maintenance.I have replaced the front brakes once and other than that nothing. The vehicle now has 200,000kms on the clock. Over all I love driving my car and hope to put another 100,000kms on it. Way to go Chrysler!!!! |

Weakness:
Everything on this car is a weakness. I bought this great looking convertible brand new. Now, just over the 36,000 mile warranty my motor went out due to "sludge build-up". After numerous phone calls and letters, no help from Chrysler. This car has been in the shop 8 times beginning two weeks after I purchased it for electrical problems. They could never find anything wrong with my car. When the motor went out the electrical problems were still going on. No warning lights, dings, nothing. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS CAR TO ANYONE. What a piece of garbage. Chrysler does not appear to care if their customers are satisfied or not. My last Chrysler ever. |
