Strength:

Cool looking car with some nice touches, such as seat belts in the seat, auto-door locking, auto top-down equalization on the stereo

Weakness:

Quality is almost totally lacking! Also the ride is very soft and the transmission slow on the pick-up.

I started off loving this car, I must admit. One of the best looking convertibles, seats 4, adequate power and a great stereo! OK, it wasn't a sports-car ride - in fact the suspension was really soft - but I didn't want to race hot-rods anyway. (Otherwise I would have bought the Camaro:) Then I had the front brake pads replaced and they started going funny. This time they replaced the rotors and the shop showed me the casting holes in the originals! I didn't feel too good about that but I hoped it was a fluke. AC stopped getting cold, but before I could get that fixed the engine overheated (of course when my wife was driving). Well to make a long story short the engine was shot. Why did it overheat? They said the fan was out, but why was that? Anyway, the car's out of warranty (of course), AC is out, steering is getting a lot of vibration and the drivers door panel is coming off. Repairs more than the darn thing is worth, so I dumped it and got a Toyota Solara. So it crapped out after 4 years and about 75000 miles. Not good. My 1984 VW Cabriolet engine was still humming after 225000 miles and 12 years. The only reason I rated this car a 2 and not a 1 is that at least I got 4 years of fun out of it relatively trouble free, but quality is SORELY lacking, and I would never touch another Chrysler. No wonder they are not doing well.

I took a good look at the Camaro when I bought this, and kinda wish I'd went that way since the Chrysler's quality was as bad if not worse.

Strength:

looks great, rides great with little noise except on the bumpiest roads, and does everything but make julian fries

Weakness:

brakes; squeak off and on, paint on the trunk is failing

Car is great. Looks good, decent basic sound system, and awesome automatic convertible top. Bought it used and at first I was a little worried about it being underpowered, but it has really came into it's own. The last thing is that it is roomy. Three of my friends and I can ride comfortably. The real major problem that I have with it is the brakes. The squeak ever so often and when they get old I will look into it. Also the paint around the trunk is failing on me. For the Hawaiian climate it the perfect car. It matches great styling, decent engine, and adequate amenities with very few major problems(so far). With good preventive maintenance and TLC it should last me awhile.

Strength:

Roomy backseat. We have a 6 month old son and our primary goal was to find a car with an adequate backseat to hold his carseat and give us room to manuver him in and out. Love the POWER !!! This car is balanced just right between weight and power and makes for a thrilling ride. Fuel mileage, I am very impressed with the mileage, especially the way we drive around GA ( Everyday is raceday around here !!! )

Weakness:

None so far, but I am starting to notice a popping sound coming from the sterring column. I think it will just take a few turns of a wrench to correct that.

Very impressed with this model. When I first looked at this car from a distance I expected much less, but after getting a closer look and taking it on a test drive, the Sebring really made an impression on me.

Strength:

Long lasting. Minimal problems with regular oil change/filter changes. Looks nice. Solid paint job. Quick pick up. Decent mileage. Comfortable to drive long distances/long time. MUCH more class then a Mustang. ABSOLUTELY No irregular Problems at 90,000 miles.

Weakness:

Brakes wear too fast. I'm scared my transmission will fail. Moulding around windscreen is failing. Extended warranty was a complete waste of 800+ dollars. I should've gone to Vegas and put it all on 0/00 instead. Car starts to cost CASH AT 100,000 miles.

This car was a gift when I graduated Law School. My dad told me what to spend (less then 18K)and I got to choose. It was an easy choice. Other cars in the price range bit the big one. I really enjoyed the first 3 1/2 years. Then I started to worry. Tires were replaced at 55K: cost $550+/-. I get the oil changed every 3,000 miles, and filters when needed, like my life depends on it. I think that has made it last pretty well. Brakes have been replaced/resurfaced three times in 103,000 miles. I think that's reasonable. Air conditioning is starting to go, but hey, its over five years old. Paint was solid till a year ago, now is starting to chip a little. Again, it could just be time. I recently needed: new water pump and 100,000 replacement of various hoses and belts and brakes. It cost about $1,100. Cheaper then a new car. Then I HAD TO replace the REAR SHOCKS, which, on sale, cost about 360; then Ifound out (after shock repair) that I needed a new "Knuckle". The Knuckle, bought from client/dealer cost 140, installation costed 60. I have committed myself to the car and its repairs. (including new front shocks this October) I also still need new tires (400) and a tune up. BUT, I AM PISSED THE TUNE UP IS GOING TO COST OVER 700 DOLLARS. Now I know I shouldn't have gone to law school. I should have gone to work at Chrysler. This is a bigger rip off then a plumber who comes to your house when your toilet is overflowing! I just pray that after the tune up, front shocks, and new tires that I will get another 50-75,000 miles out of this car. If I do, I will be a chrysler customer for life. If not, I'll mortgage my future for a Beemer.

Strength:

Good sound system, looks nice.

Weakness:

Brakes, Rims, tires, transmission, CHRYSLER SERVICE....see summary below.

I just dumped this car and will never purchase another Chrysler vehicle again. First of all, Chrysler Customer Service is lousy. They have lied to me consistently and do nothing to correct problems caused by the inferior parts on this car. Hmmm...where to start??..

The tires are very low quality were already worn at 20k miles,
the rims bend constantly (I dealt with 4 bent rims in the 25k miles that I had the car), the auto transmission is lousy and very jumpy in shifting gears, the front end of the car sits too low (scraps every curb and cracks easily), the brakes rotors warp constantly (had to replace twice in 24k miles).

Do yourself a favor and do not buy a Sebring. I admit the car looks nice but you better be willing to fork out some serious dough for repairs (many of which should be covered by warranty but Chrysler refuses to cover.) By the way if you live in Baltimore and insist on buying a Chrysler, DO NOT BUY FROM DON WHITE'S. The service department sucks and will lie and manipulate you every chance that they get.

One last thing, the resale value of this car is terrible. Car depreciated over 40% in value over 1 1/2 years.

HORRIBLE!!!! RUN FROM THIS CAR AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!!!!! This car has been a nightmare from day one. I bought this car off of a lease. Two months after I bought it it started this "Intermittent No-Start" where the key is turned but the engine doesn't crank. The lights work, power windows work, radio works, a/c works, but the engine does nothing. They've replaced the starter, the ASD Relay and now after 10 months and having my car towed 6 times they can't figure it out. The service people are rude and crude. I've been told "well, missy, you must have left your lights on, or the trunk open". I am getting rid of this car as fast as I can. Each time I try to ask them what they'll do to resolve the problem, the throw in my face that there's no lemon law on used cars. I've consulted an attorney and will see what I can do. Fluids leaking, rattling, brakes going, a money pit. Even bought the most expensive extended warranty but covers nothing that needs to be fixed. Especially when they say "can't repeated customers complaint", you end up eating the bill for the diagnostic tests! I will search out the Attorney GEneral's office and who ever else will listen. Need to have something done about these unsafe cars and horrible service. Customer does not matter. I can't believe they are still in business. Get the word out to boycott Chrysler products.
