Not too bad for pick-up, except when the air conditioner is on...Good gas mileage-I get up to 250 miles...Cute body style-But I wish mine was a convertable instead...Not too bad for performance...I like the hidden door handles-Everybody has to ask me where the handle is to open my car...Back winshield wiper is great, especially in the winter...My car gets pretty toasty in the winter, but fogs up really easily too...When another person rides in the car with me, they fog the windows up from talking...Or sometimes I fog the windows up from singing...My car has great steering and you don't have to step on the breaks real hard either...Yes, my Geo is great for parking in tiny spaces, especially in Philadelphia and also great for parallel parking...This is all I can think of right now...
Weakness:
As much as I love my car, I hate it sometimes too...I can only keep my air conditioning on low, or else the whole car shuts down on me...I learned this when I was driving down a hill and turned it on...Ooops, never do that again...My car rattles and makes weird noises, which one noise, no one can figure out what it is...I have had to replace quite a number of things on my car, but that is what I get for buying a used car at the junky dealership I bought it from...They are liars...No cup holders and I have these really weird looking seat head rests...I don't like them...The paneling in my trunk is all cracked and the rear winshield washer solvent dispenser is broken...My car seems to eat tires away to nothing...Don't put cheap stuff on these cars because they will just eat it away to nothing...(Especially belts-Pep Boy products suck on my car) I don't mind that my back seats are tiny...People rarely ride in my car anyway...My car is tiny, but I can fit a mountain bike in my car...My exhaust rattles, which is very annoying...And you can't unlock my passeger side door...When my doors freeze up in the winter, you can open them, but they will not shut again...When I think of it now, I p This is my first car...I loved the car when I first saw it...Until three months later, it broke down on me and left me stranded in the middle of a highway...The timing belt went bad...Then, another 6 months later, it broke down again, leaving me stranded on the highway again...Another belt broke apart...I call my car " White Trash ", but I love the hunk of junk...It definitely can move pretty good for a four cylinder automatic...I love the way it handles turns and drives, except for the millions of little noises my cars makes...My car vibrates/rattles, especially when I turn corners...People who drive with me are afraid of my car, wondering if it will fall apart...I wonder that too sometimes, but my car has been pretty dependable so far...I still call it junk though...My car has lots of little things that need to be replaced because the owner who had it before me didn't keep up with the internal maitenance...Although, the person did keep the inside of my car pretty clean...I am pretty sure once I fix all the stuff that my poor car needs replaced, it will run even better... GEO STORM
Strength:
Handling, mileage, low maintenace costs.
Weakness:
factory paint oxidation, headlights are difficult to align, lack of space for personal belongings like sunglasses, etc. I remember when these cars first came out, and I actually checked them out, and I really liked the way they looked/ran, but for some reason I had my heart set on a Nissan Pulsar because of those rad taillights (remember, the diagonal slits). THE NISSAN SUCKED. BAD. MY STORM ROCKS, EVEN IN 2002! It handles killer around the corners, and I can zip in and out of traffic with ease. I bought this car in 1999, with about 70k miles on it. The only thing I have had to do to it motor-wise, is routine maintenance, replace the thermostat, and exhaust manifold. Now the mileage is up to about 155,000 (2002) and I do not plan on getting rid of it anytime soon!! (I also have a 1999 Nissan Altima that my parents gave me about 4 months ago, but I prefer driving the STORM...I LOVE IT!) Similar Products Used: 1988 Nissan Pulsar 1999 Nissan Altima |

Can't find many. Not worried about back seat as it prevents slackers from always wanting to use MY car. Wow, was glad to see all the good reviews here, and I can see why. I got this GEO as the a/c went out on my Honda and it was going to be over $1200 to fix it, plus Honda wasn't worth it. I love this car! It has great pickup, is sporty, ice cold air and handles great. I had a Jeep Grand Cherokee before the Honda and due to some financial problems had to down size. I don't feel downsized at all with this Storm. Needs slight paint touch up on roof, but other than that, I love it. I have had very sporty cars in past..but this little car is no slacker, especially at that price! Turns easily. Manifold was loud but turned out simply to be the gasket that connects to the manifold, under 30 dollars to fix. Have once or twice had the problem someone else mentioned about dying out in traffic, but then it restarts no problem and doesn't happen often. All and all, I love it. Good gas mileage and longevity
Weakness:
Uncomfortable seats This is my second GEO Storm and I have been very happy with both. I sold my 1991 Geo with 143,000 miles on it and it was still going strong. Believe it or not, my 1992 Geo Storm GSI has 216,000 miles on it and I am still driving it. I just put two new tires on it and a new alternator. I have to replace the serpentine belt and am wondering if I should hold on to the car and see how long it will actually last or get another car. When I bought the car with 63,000 miles on it, Consumer Reports rated this car very poorly. However, I have never owned a car that has been so good to me! |

Strength:
It gets great gas mileage. It ''s really sporty looking for those who like that kind of thing. The front seat is pretty large to be a small car and the dash is neato because of the on/off bottons for the wipers and the lights. It''s got 140,000 miles on it and all thats been replaced is its struts the far back windowand the timing belt. ( even before I got it!!)
Weakness:
It has a little back seat. When you by tires for the car they are a little on the expensive side because they are low profile. The stock speakers are on the bad side. The little back windows are very expensive if you have to replace them. My dad bought my Geo as my first car. He figured I couldn''t do much harm to it. At first I wasn''t to sure that the car was what I had wanted But,it started to grow on me after I had for about a week! It''s a great little car. MY dad likes it better then his truck and ask me if he can borrow it all the time. Similar Products Used: toyota corolla |

Strength:
good pick up, great gas mileage (up to 45mpg), cheap to fix, reliable. Stereo sounds awesome. of course i upgraded...(2-10''s and a 12). but now i have no back seat due to the 12 being there. all factory stereo stuff''s in the garbage.
Weakness:
door locks, i dont really enjoy working on this car. I''m also used to working on antique cars at my fathers shop. I bought this car as my first car. I spent a year working on it getting it into good condition. There was BAD rust in the quraters and fenders. I cut and made pieces blah blah blah and to cut through it all it looks like a mirror. (my dad has a body shop.) Anyway, Ive replaced the timing belt, alt. belt, and a few other minor things, until today. On my way home the battery light came on. its my alternator:( not fun to get off. quite a pain becuase the car''s so small and hard to reach places. |
