Strength:

Reliablility. Replacement parts are cheap. Relatively easy for the home mechanic to work on.

Weakness:

My 86 Olds Delta 88 with a 3.8 V-6 gets better gas mileage!

Like most GM products, boring but reliable transportation. Originally a rental car, it's been passed down to the fourth driver in our family. I'm the third driver and got the car for free. The four cylinder Quad-4 is reliable but underpowered for the size of the car. Expected more than the 24-26 mpg that it gets. Smokes on startup now that it has 140K miles on it. Originally supplied with manual door locks but with and electric windows?! Easy enough to install electric door locks from JC Whitney.

Strength:

quiet interior, good size interior, very comfortable, smooth ride. good on gas, and will get u where u have to go.

Weakness:

small engine

i havent driven it much, but it drives great, amazingly quiet on the inside, clean, and very luxurious. the car has only 50,000 miles, and is in perfect condition. (except for the paint on the roof, trunk, and hood)because of the sun. everything works, and no dents in the body.

it compares to a cadillac, with its luxury, comfortable smooth ride, and amount of room inside.

Strength:

It has given me no problems whatsoever, aside from minor stuff, and is well over 100k miles. It's big, and safe, and cops don't generally look for speeding Buicks

Weakness:

A little rough switching between gears, a little wide on the turns.

Great Car, as a teen I was kinda dissapointed that I couldn't get a more sporty car, but it was a model 94 and rather inexpensive, and in great condition

Strength:

Like the air cond. features, nice ride and comfortable seating.

Weakness:

Rattles in hubcaps, could use more room in front seat on floor between seats and dont like the seatbelts.

I have always driven Buicks and this has been my first slighly disappointing experience. Perhaps more with the dealership than with the car itself. Nice interior, nice ride and good gas mileage. Have had car in numerous times for noisy plastic wheel covers. Was told basically all new cars will eventually make this noise and to live with it..

Would upgrade to the Regal or we rented a Concorde and liked that ride.

3.1L V6
Biiiiig bench seats
Indestructable
almost invisible to cops

Weakness:

Big bench seats
weak suspention
skinny tires
body roll
an Evil bunch of power right in the middle of 2nd gear
snowplow handeling

My first car, and for 3000 a real bargin. Being a teenager I found it slow and tubby at first but then I came see that it was big, safe and had room to modify...

First priority is to add a new intake as the stock it simply too constrictive and really strangles the engine, contrary to popular beleif there really is alot of room to improve on this engine. A K&N filter and removing all but the top and bottem plates of the stock air box brought the engine back to life after 100K miles.

Add to that some new stiffer shocks, springs, sway bars, some wider rubber and an exauhst job and you get a car capable or smoking most of those little rice rockets out there and still having a comfy back seat.

On the downside there are a few little things that are lacking, first the speedometer only runs to 85... the cops clocked me at over 130. Second, the seats are flat and I had to cut out some cusion in the back and bottem of the drivers seat so I wouldn't slide away. Finally a few minor bits, a dead pedal would be nice as well as a fuel gauge that didn't swing over half a tank between acceleration and braking, also a stronger oil and fuel pumps as in sustained hard cornering or braking(oil only) the car can stall or the oil warning light can come on.

I fully intend to drive this car into the ground and have been trying for 2 years, at this rate it may never die as everything seems to be just abot indestructable.

Strength:

~Strong 160hp 3.3, really a lot of power for a 2900lb car
~Not a cop magnet
~It'll run forever, unless the body rusts to pieces

Weakness:

~Had a little trouble with the transmission cooler
~Had to put stiffer shocks in it

What a car! The 3.3 is such a motor, it hauls! Ask my buddy with his new v6 Mustang, he will tell you what happend. (He knows what the tail lights look like!) Motor is strong too, 190,000 and it runs like it did when it rolled out of the factory, doesn't burn any oil at all. Cars got a huge trunk, plenty of room with the spare in it. Handling used to be kinda poor, grandpa car ride, but I put in stiffer shocks and it now cornors quite well. Power windows and door locks, good stereo, although I put a CD player in mine. Car is not a cop magnet either, for those of us that practice "Civil Disobedience" when it comes to speed limits. Great dependable transportation.

Strength:

Sentimental Value
Smooth, quiet, comfy, roomy
Treats me almost as good I as I treat her.

Weakness:

The air conditioner doesn't work anymore, and sometimes there are some minor fixes needed.

Well, what can I say about old blue... I love her like she is part of the family. My parents bought her back in 1984, and I grew up riding on her comfy blue seats. Back in 1993, ten years after the car's production, I learned to drive behind her very wheel. In 96, my mom bought a new Chevy Blazer, and bestowed the Century upon me. To this day, I still have her, and she is running almost as well as the first day. Her body is still in great shape, a shinny light blue painted body, with a dark blue vinyl top. She is up to almost 150k miles now, but I think she will make it well past 200k. The engine is just a little four cylidar, but does suprisingly well, esp for its age. She gives me a smooth quiet ride, and keeps up with all the demanding driving I may have to do. If anything goes wrong, I fix her, the sentimental value is beyond blue book value, I love her to pieces. As I walk up to her, I look at her front end, and see her smiling at me, knowing that I will keep her until the dying end.

Strength:

Comfort, reliability, sturdy size and power.

Weakness:

Bench Seats. No tachometer or indication if the engine temp is getting to a danger level before the car would overheat, although that has never happened.

Very reliable automobile. Replaced the alternator since I bought it, but at no cost to me! The place I bought it from is known for outstanding service. Also, just put a new lifetime waranty muffler, new brake shoes, and brand new 65,000 mile Bridgestone tires on it. The car is running like new right now and handles great! No problems with the 3.6 V-6 fuel injected engine which provides excellent power. Handled well during the freezing cold Minnesota winter we just had with no delayed starts. Currently very low miles with only 80K on the odometer, but expect it to way past 150,000 miles.
