Strength:

Just about everything! The ride is smooth and quiet. It has very respectable acceleration and handling. It is a comfortable car to ride in and a joy to drive

Weakness:

Whats up with that tiny gove compartment?

Yes I would highly recommend this car

We bought a Toyota Corrolla 9 months before we bought this car and the Buick is clearly superior. It is bigger, smoother QUIETER and more comfortable

Strength:

Fit n Finish, Quite and smooth ride, size, safety features, 6 passenger seating, variable assist power steering, price.

Weakness:

plastic dash looks cheap, no pass through for extended trunk, engine not as refined as some of competition.

I bought the Century because it was bigger than either the Camry or accord and the styling looked good. It was also less expensive. So far, there have been no problems.

Strength:

Sometimes it starts and runs. There are four wheels on it. Still chugging at over 200,000 miles. How many early 80s American cars can top that? Character.

Weakness:

None of the prehistoric electric emenities work anymore. Is not safe at +50mph. Cannot outrun a small child.

This car despite its many and varied flaws has become a part of me. It has grown up with me through my formative years. Rarely has it left me stranded. It never won me any races or won me any women but I love it just the same. No one else will ever own that vehicle. I plan on killing it. It gets points based sentimentality and a certain comradarie I have with it. Other than that it would be worth nothing. So, if you're looking for a sketchy friend then I would suggest purchasing a 1983 Buick Century (if you are lucky enough to find somebody willing to part with it.)

Has similar accleration and handling as my fathers riding lawn mower. Give the edge to the Buick.

Strength:

Great interior, sturdy, and serves it's purpose, gets you from point a to point b, not very fast but comfortably. And big trunk.

Weakness:

Small enguine, ugly, horrible handling, doors rust easily, little interior space, and little things break constantly.

Free car, that's the only thing I'm thankful with this car. I would suggest not purchesing this even if the price is right.

Strength:

Smooth Ride, Good handling, Plenty of room. Will easily hold six people.

Weakness:

Air Conditioner does not work most of the time. I have brought it in to be
fixed four times. Still not working. This is a brand new car. Mechanic told
me, there was possibly debri in the fan motor, stopping it up. Bad design
on the a/c motor. If you like a/c do not by this car.

Most of it was explained in the weaknesses. It is a very nice car. You just
won't be able to drive it on hot days.

Strength:

Roomy, Comfortable, Smooth ride, Nice extras such as low tire pressure monitor and oil change monitor, good stereo sound, supportive seating, V6 for the price of a four-banger, auto-traction control, keyless entry, automatic headlights.

Weakness:

Slight knocking sound when engine is cold (1-2 min.), front brake rotors wear out quickly, windows roll up/down slowly, no trunk access from backseat, some windnoise at high speeds

Overall a very nice car. Roomy interior, very supportive seats, smooth ride, nice looking car especially for more conservative-luxury or value-minded buyers. I love the feel of the seats and the positioning of interior accessories, however I am disappointed with the plastic power window controls and slow power window motors. Also, there seems to be a bit more wind noise at high speeds of 60mph+, but I've yet to drive a car that didn't have some noise at those speeds. Acceleration could be better, but the trade-off is good gas mileage. This is a good car for anyone with children or anyone who likes to travel. This car is much nicer than most cars at this price range. If you want a cadillac or lincoln, but can't afford one, I would highly recommend this car or it's big brother the Buick Regal.

1999 Chevy Malibu... The century is a classier car with better styling, other than that they are pretty similar.

Strength:

Its a pretty nice ride, im used to a loser ride. Speaker set-up is nice -sounds really good.

Weakness:

Im not used to the setup of this car. I had to remove the seat to run the wires from the trunk to the dash.
I had to cut a hole in the Main A/C duct then duct-tape it up -so i could fit my head unit in there.

(92 Buick Century Custom)
Just got the car a weekago, with 81000 miles on it.
So far ive put it threw my normal 1st car tests and its held up nicely.
The car will do 85mph, pretty quickly -and you cant really tel your doing 85. ~smooth ride. Its got the 3.3l.
Ive added my head unit, 6x9's and my 10" Kicker bass-tube. The front stock 4x6's are shockingly good. The Century Custom comes with driver side power seat, w/pwr recliner on driver/passenger side seat. Lots of extra int. lights (ex. map lights everywhere) Mine came with the unlock/trunk-pop remote. All pwr windows/locks/mirrors.
The trunk goes back nice and far, perfect for my sub+amp..

I moved to this car from a 1998 Buick LeSaber. I loved my LeSaber, 3.8, nice pick up even with a crappy tranny. But the car was getting tired with 180000 miles on it.

Strength:

--fast engine
--not a cop magnet
--good pickup
--horn sounds good
--great speakers (sound quality is great with my sony CD player I dropped into it. Lots of bass!)
--steering is good
--good on gas
--lots of room in car + in trunk

Weakness:

--stalls out a lot
--grandma car
--engine lurches when changing gear
--breaks are kind of "iffy"

I couldn't afford to buy myself a car, and neither could my parents, so my mom went out and bought a 2000 Saturn and gave me the Buick. *Thanks, Mom* Really for 221,000 miles on it, this car is not so bad. It gets me to where I gotta go. (A little shakily, but hey it still runs) I've had to replace the battery, alternator, radiator hose, and many little various parts of the engine. I've gone through 2 oil leaks, one anti freeze leak, and right now the windshield wiper fluid can leaks. I don't feel like paying to get THAT one fixed, though. The cigarette lighter just broke. It is a really dorky car, but at least it's not a cop magnet! I'm selling it for $1200 because I have put so much money into already! Right now it is stalling out whenever I back up...I have to slam the accelerator or it stalls out. If anyone has had a similar problem then drop me a line. Overall--great first car but expensive to maintain.
