Strength:

PEFECT CAR - no possible complaints about this car

Weakness:

People who don't appreciate a MB

I have gad teh car now for three month and I actually picked it up in Germany on a European delivery - which was amazing. Then of course I actually got to drive the car - how it was meant to be driven - and it tops at 135 mph (320).

I am not sure what the unsatisfied reviewers are talking about - but this is the best blend of class and sport in one car.

Strength:

The Car has a beautiful sleek ans sporty look w/ the AMG package. The 4.3L V8 gives the car some great power and quiet on the other end.

Weakness:

Steering is a little touchy for a sports car. Price is an issue compared to other sports cars such as corvette, BMW M3, Porsche Boxster and more. But if you are a MB enthusiast this is the car.

I recommend this car to any MB lovers with sport cars on their mind whom wants sport with class.

We've had our CLK430 coupe for almost 4 months now. It replaces a 1995 Honda Accord we purchased new.

Our car is black with charcoal interior with all options including phone and COMAND options.

The 8 cylinder is a blast. It has a lot of torque and always ready to accelerate, especially compared to the old Accord.

The brakes are incredible. It's hard to imagine brakes getting much better than this. They never fade in regular highway driving.

The handling is a bit soft. The car severely leans during hard cornering and it floats over bumps like my father's old Cadillac. I think this car uses the same suspension as the 6 cylinder version. That's too bad.

The quality of this car disappoints. I didn't think MB's rattled and squeaked so much. Our Honda never exhibited any rattles and rarely a squeak. However, the dashboard and interior door panels release a cacophony of noise on each and every trip. Where's the quality?

The COMAND looks pretty neat, but is an ergonomic mess. I have a degree in computer science and this thing is a prime example of poor engineering.

Next time we'll give Lexus or BMW a shot.

Strength:

Well, it is an attractive car.

Weakness:

Check the review summary.

This is our fifth Mercedes since 1989 and the first we've found to be an utter disappointment.

The build quality is horrid. There is cheap plastic everywhere. Of course with cheap plastic you can expect the obligatory squeaks and rattles.

The transmission's ECU had to be replaced on our car after two months.

The rubber that surrounds the sunroof had to be reapplied because it kept falling off.

Our car is loaded and we'll be taking the car back to the dealership shortly and will probably settle on an E430.

We thought that we might have a lemon, but our dealer told us that many of their long time customers have complained about the CLK's quality, or lack there of.

I'd also check the reviews on this forum carefully. You have individuals who have never owned the car giving it 5 stars. Strange, to say the least.

Just ordered mine. Will take 7 to 12 months. :( Have not even driven the damn thing. Did drive a BMW 330CI Convertible auto and manual. Auto was slow, manual was sweet. Wanted a V8 to replace my Corvette though. RESALE is awesome on this car, one of the primary reasons for buying. 2 year old cars are still selling for MSRP or more. Can't say that for the Beemer or the Vette.

Weakness:

I'm 6'4". Back seat is about as bad as a Ford Mustang for headroom. When I put the driver's seat all the way back it nearly touches the rear seat. Awesome front leg room though. I'll have to put the kid behind the passenger seat. Looks much better with top down. Kinda goofy looking with the black top.

If this car is half as good as everyone says it is, it will be phenominal. I've ridden in the E320 which was quite nice. I expect my MB to be the envy of the neighborhood when I get it next year.

If I don't like it, some schmoe will pay me top dollar for not having to wait a year! Supply and demand, I love it!

5 stars for value only because of the resale value. With taxes and registration, my car is almost $66,000 and I didn't even get the phone (K4 package and fancy seats the only 2 options). Holy crap! $1000 for fancy headlights and wipers?? Also paid MSRP which I have NEVER done in my life. Used to paying invoice or a tad over!

I ordered mine on 10/31. Have to wait to next summer to drive. Sigh...

BMW 330 CI convertible was 15k cheaper similarly equipped. Corvette blows it's doors off performance and price-wise, however NO BACK SEAT on a Vette. Important with a family.

Styling, Mercedes Quality Finish, Unique and distintive front end, all the high tech features, Tele-Aid, Combination entertainment Center CD/Radio/Tel/Tape. Powerful Engine, Handling, Mercedes reliability and fun factor. In a class of its own, and Mercedes Lifetime Assistant.

Weakness:

Little trunk space when top is down, not enough room for adults in back seat.

I would definitely recommend this car to anyone looking for fun in the sun, but doesn't want to be like anyone else, but stands out..

Awesome looks. I opted for the designo espresso package and it was worth it the extra $6000. The touch shift is great and the AMG styling and V8 make it a must over the 320 Model.

Weakness:

COMAND/GPS is hard to use. Not too intuitive. Back seat is very cramped. The drivers seat has 3 settings, I use #1 for me, #2 for my wife and #3 for when I have passengers in the back seat behind me (moved way forward)

$72,000 with tax, tags, etc. I would definitely recommend this car.
