Strength:
Reliability.
Weakness:
Gas guzzler. High repair bills. I bought this car new in 1995. 110K miles later she's still going strong. Slowly things are beginning to wear. And I am faced with huge repair bills, $400 for a power steering pump. Despite this I am glad I bought this car. Similar Products Used: Acura Legend, BMW M3, Nissan 350Z, BMW 850i |

Strength:
Reliable, powerfull, very quiet engine considering it's an 8 cyl,and the paint job is forever.
Weakness:
None except that I work so I just dont have enough time to enjoy it. Purchased with 82,000 miles. Best car I ever owned, runs better most most new cars I tried-out. The power button when used with the pedal to the medal can give off several g-forces and reach 100 mph very quikly. To boot the car has nothing but classy looks inside and out. Chicks love it. The speed and luxury ride. Styling is still good 10 years later. Costly to repair, but worth it.
Weakness:
Expensive to fix!!! Even the smallest item cost 4 times as much. Instrument cluster lights went out $500.00. Great looking car. Wash and wax and people think it is a new car. Styling is great and it is very fast. Similar Products Used: 2000 Toyota Solara SLE 2000 Toyota Camry |

RELIABLITY!!!!!! Great tranny, Incredible handling, Easy to recover from a skid, Smoothe inline-6, Paint finish looks brand-new, nice muffler sound at idle.. I reiterate RELIABLITY!!!!!!
Weakness:
Car is a bit heavy for the power it's got, dont bother driving it in the snow unless u put on some Blizzaks and 200 lbs in the trunk. Similar problems as other owners...Distributor O-ring had a tiny leak, front suspension bushings squeak, a couple odometer bulbs are burnt out (dont forget..car was built in 93). And the most annoying--moisture in 1 headlamp--try drilling 3-5 tiny holes on the lower part of the headlamp and after some day-time highway runs it will dry out. The water will still leak in, but now it will dry from the sun and the air pressure. Ive had this car for almost 2 years now and I can't say anything bad about it. I love the way it feels, its a perfect blend of performance and luxury. If u have the $$$, try to buy a 98 or above sc400 (290 hp V8) b/c the sc300 is a bit lacking in power. The transmission is unbelieveable..it loves holding the revs if you can modulate the throttle. Wax it nicely, and change the wheels and people will think its a 99 or 2000 (this sounds crazy but i still get "looks" and "stares" when its clean and waxed). I replaced the stock 15" wheels with 16" aluminum alloys and bridgestone potenza performance all-seasons...the handling increased 3-fold!!! I also put in piaa xtreme-white bulbs b/c with the projector headlamps..it looks like HID. Stock stereo is way ahead of its time for stock systems. For the rest, see below...... Strength:
Pros: Stand out sculpture styling (not for the status quo buyer), Made in Japan rock solid Quality, Gorgeous Interior, Beast Motor, best stereo on market...it simply has to be heard to be believed, lots of looks from the plebs and SUV lemmings.
Weakness:
Cons: Seats should have more lateral support and bottom seat cushion stitch seams are too thick also cup holder not deep enough and wipers are too slow. Overall Review: This is the best car I've owned...and currently I own two Mercedes (E3204Matic Wagon & C280). The car has an anvil like feel and the engine power never seems to end. The high-end quality of the interior and its overall fit and finish are much superior to Mercedes...which seems to have gone down hill in the past several years (lots of ill fitting plastic and visits to the mechanic). Also, my 11 month and 3 year old's car seats fit in the back seat quite well for weekend drives to the Beach. |

Weakness:
Burned out dash needles($500 fix), Cracked HVAC Vent, Tear in the drivers seat,"Milky" headlamps By far, this is the best vehicle i have owned. I even bought a second one. I have over 260,000 miles on my gold one and over 150,000 on my white one. Both are V-8's and still run very strong. My gold one is midly tuned(18"Wheels,suspension,etc.) while the white one is stock. I would recommend going bigger on the wheels, because the car handles very well. As for maintenance, nothing major has happened, just small things like burned out dash needles, tears in the seats, and replaced the stock 12 Disc CD changer. Water Pump, Radiator, an Engine Pulley are the few things i have replaced in the engine bay. Other than that, change the fluids and this car will go for days. The car is also very quiet for its age. Lexus makes a very impressive coupe. I swear by these vehicles because I have owned one --- or 2. Similar Products Used: Toyota P/U, Toyota Corolla....Toyota makes great products |

It has a back seat. It it far the best car I have ever owned. I bought it from a doctor with 144,000 miles on it. Its in mint condition and runs like a new car. People often ask me if thats the new Lexus so it holds up its good looks through time. I am even gonna buy another one, I love it so much. Similar Products Used: 2000 corvette. |

Looks, caracter, balls. Rectractable hard top. No one realized that they are looking at a convertible. It's like having two different cars for the price of one....and a half.
Weakness:
Sometimes, I think it looks too good. Some say the trunk is small. Yes, it is. But did I know that before I purchased it? YES. To me, you can't have a great looking sports coupe and have a full, comfortable back seat for your children at the same time. Do you want a sport coupe or not. You just have to make up your mind. Wow is right. This car is the ultimate in class, comfort, luxury and style. The punks in the Camaros can't stop stairing at it. Everyone wants to have a second look at it. You better drive your second car if you want anonimity. It has tons of pick-up, amazing cornering abilities and even better breaking prowness. It looks amazing, from any angle. Similar Products Used: Quite frankly, I looked at alot. I think the Porches are looking tired. The same old nose and silouette. The engineers have been sitting on their laurels, and it's starting to show. The same goes for |

Faster than many porsches Should be much more reliable than other luxo cars Ultimate luxury.....best sound system and Nav system in the business
Weakness:
could be more athletic..... useless back seat, small trunk Not cheap!!! This is ONE AMAZING CAR. Typical of Lexus luxury and reliability are givens. But add a powerful 300 hp v8 and a hardtop convertible and you have one FUN and rewarding package. And it looks great and draws admirers wherever you go. Compared to other costly sport and luxury cars (porsche, mercedes,BMW) I think this is a great blend of luxury and sport and well worth it's hefty price.......great value!!
