Strength:
Great speed, more luxurious than you can imagine, considering it shares same chasis and engine with sportier, louder car,350Z, wonderful sound system, automatic seat folder, and most of all, lots of cup holders even by the door panels. Just purchase one and you won't, I promise, ever regret it.
Weakness:
I'd never found any weakness yet, but if I were to choose one, I would choose trasmission which feels a bit stubborn. There can't be any better combination of everything than the new g35. I recently purchased a 6-spd one, and it's been a eye-catching car ever since I took it out the road. I didn't shop around for cars for short times, and I find G35 as the best value in its' price class, of course I payed only the MSRP while other "Don't-Know-How-to-Buy" drivers payed way more. transmission is short throw tho notchy. engine has good torque. attention to detail, great brembo brakes. styling is fantastic. 18 inch rims. led lights.
Weakness:
cheaper interior than bmw w/ spray on silver finish. passenger seat can't be raised or lowered. both seats are manual recline. nav system has bugs once in a while. remote for trunk not the most sensitive. engine not as smooth as 330Ci's 225 hp inline-6 (3.0 liters). awesome exterior, great engine, fantastic features for the money ($7000 less than a bmw 330ci). interior features like nav, homelink etc.. are great. only had it for 8 days but its a great bargain for the performance. |

Strength:
Engine is one of the best in the world. Acceleration is top notch. Ride is very agile, but cushioned. (Remember that this is a sports car not a family sedan). Supperior styling inside and outside. Fit and finish is superb. Sound insulation is top notch for a sports car. The exhaust sound is the best exhaust on any stock car. You really don't need modifications with this car, because you get everything with it. ie. 18 inch wheels, Brembo Brakes, Michelin Pilot W rated tires, sun roof, leather seating, Homelink, power windows & seats, 8 speaker Bose audio system
Weakness:
Gas mileage - 11 liters per 100km from a mix of highway and city driving. Cup holders are put too far back for driver to reach easily. (can't sip a coffee on the way to work). Front seat belts are difficult to reach as they are put very far behind the front seats. Gear shift is not Honda smooth, but you get used to it. Some people like the notchiness, while others prefer the silkiness of a Honda/ Acura. Clutch travel is more than the Honda/Acura's. Electric adjustable seats should have a memory function. (not a big concern if you're the only driver), but when all your friends want to test the car, then you have to spend more time re-adjusting your seating position. This car is a sports car. The look is fresh and very "chic". It gets a lot of heads turning and I would say that it is the best looking car on the road right now. The drive by wire throttle is fast and responsive. The car never runs out of torque. Acceleration is amazing. The value is excellent as a similarly equipped BMW will cost $8000 more. Ride is cushioned for a sports car. If you want a more supple sedan ride, then go for a sedan or some other 4 door car. This makes a great touring vehicle as the seats are supportive, and luxurious. You don't mind driving across the country in this car. There's ample room to put luggage, golf clubs etc. If you were to compare with a Honda S2000, the Honda would be a gazelle; sleek lines, light frame, low torque. The G35 would be a charging bull; lots of muscular power, heavier but responsive. Similar Products Used: Nissan Maxima 2001 Honda S2000 Acura RSX-type S Subaru WRX 2001 |

street racer
Strength:
The car has great acceleration and handling. I dont really like the shifting but I can live with it. This car won me so much street races and running on stock! I feel bad for the fixed up cars that lost to me. Never lost a race so far!
Weakness:
Lacks bodykits and turbocharger or parts to fix up the car. This car is under luxury!?!?!?!? They need to add sport in front of it. Isnt this car called the BMW Killer? So many innocent Bemers!? :( |

Infiniti G35 Coupe
Strength:
The engine is amazing, lots of torque, I don't know about the rpms yet, I haven't had it past 4000 rpm but what I've experianced has been very quick. The interior is well done with everything where it should be. I initially didn't want the navagation system but after using in the hills around here, I'm now a convert. The exterior is very attractive, so every gas stop can last up to 15 minutes...mostly talking to people about the car. I love the sound it makes under acceleration!
Weakness:
Clock is too small. The passenger seat needs a lumbar support system. Be careful with the 18" wheels on the curbs. Great car, extremely fun to drive [I had it 3 weeks and put 2,400 miles on it already] We have alot of "motorcycle roads" in northern Ca and I have driven on most of them in this car. It handles flat with immediate turn in. The acceleration is impressive but shifting the 6 speed transmission is still a little stiff. The G35 is very smooth at speed but around town the suspension is not very compliant. Gas mileage is around 19mpg but I expect low 20s after break-in.
