Weakness:

The car is almost too nice to drive everyday.

The car is unbelievable.Everywhere I've gone with it people are saying "beautiful car, what is it?" You have to get in to a $220,000 Ferrari Modena to out do this coupe.

Great value, ride. Fast and fun to shift. Great looks.

Weakness:

Needs memory seats.

Just picked up my new 2004 G35 6MT a few days ago. Had to look hard to find a black one. I love it. Saw someone talked about the seat belt beiong hard to reach, but the 2004 has a seat belt extender where it attaches to the side, easier to reach. Rides great, love the shifter. I got the premium package and aero package.

Best looking car on the road shy of a Ferrari. Also...engine, exhaust note, high speed stability, confident handling, very smooth ride, great stereo (Bose), very cool interior, excellent controls, well laid out dash, powerful AC,lots of cool storage compartments, excellent seats.

Weakness:

Back seat center console is not very attractive, interior molding around sunroof popped off day 2...dealer handled problem immediately.

Bought the car 1 week ago and I love it! I haven't felt this way about a car in many, many years. Awesome vehicle! Makes driving exciting again. We searched for the pefect coupe the past 3 months...looked at BMW's, Mercedes CLK320, RX8...nothing had the combination of looks, performance and features like the G35 Coupe. Turn the key and the engine growls! Hit the gas and prepare to have some serious fun. Very quick and agile. The car is worth $10k more than the $35k price. All this plus room for 2 friends!

Great vehicle! Wonderful handling and very nice ride with it. Very well made with great fit and finish. Wonderful drivetrain and I have never heard such a wonderful exhaust tone. One would be very hard pressed to find a vehicle as competent as this for the low price it commands. Just a wonderful car! It is also a car that gets a great many looks from people of all ages. Great value!

The power is great - how can you go wrong with 280 hp? Style/Design. Handling. Sound system (Bose 6 disc in-dash). Windsheild washer fluid comes out of the wipers so it doesn't spray everyone around you! Cup holder design (no flip out weird holder). Radio controls on steering wheel. Navigation system is handy, pricey, but great. When you put the seat up to let people in the back, it goes automatically - impressive! FUN TO DRIVE!

Weakness:

Rattling (may have to do with the 18" rims). Seat belt too far back - can't reach easily. Seat belt is placed too high - cuts into my neck. Trips to the gas station. I always get scared when approaching a curb or parking space divider - afraid the front end will hit with it being so low. No automatic reclining seat/memory.

This car is great! I've had the car for just over a month and have already had tons of compliments. Seems to be the best buy for your money. We got the navigation system, which originally we didn't want, but now after having it, I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Okay - for anyone considering this car - the references made that it will hang with an M3 is incorrect. The car is fast and is a blast to drive - but it will not come close to an E46 M3. Even the E36 M3's will walk away from the G.

Infiniti G35 Coupe 6MT I've been driving this car for 2 months now and have enjoyed every minute of it. To sum this car up in one sentence: You get all the luxury, performance, and style of a $50k+ sports coupe for around $33k. This car is not a: 1. luxo-liner don't spill my cappucino car (e.g., BMW 7-series or Mercedes E-class) 2. plush, sporty-looking but ultimately uninspiring Japanese econo-box 3. family-oriented coupe 4. SUV capable of carrying luggage for four on a week-long vacation (though ideal for a two-person trip) This car is: 1. every bit the sports car that the 350Z is with a useable back seat and trunk 2. comfortable enough to go cross country, with 28+mpg highway mileage 3. a grand-tourer in the truest sense of the phrase 4. worth a lot more than the $28-$38k price suggests It has performance on par with the BMW M3 except that it is easier to drive, costs less, and looks better. The torque starts way low, and the sweet shifting 6-speed manual lets you keep the engine on boil no matter what speed you're at. The computer stability control (defeatable)and ABS keep you out of trouble while the crisp and clean Bose stereo (optional) and the throaty exhaust note keep you entertained. This would be a great buy at $50k but at $37,000 loaded, I can see why they can't keep these on the lots. Other notes: -I'm 6'3" 250lb and fit comfortably, as does my 6'7" 300lb friend (and the 5'7 150lb one, too) -The back seat will comfortably hold two folks about 6' or under with good leg room and the seatback folds flat to greatly enhance trunk space. -City/Highway 18-20/28+ in my experience -Satellite radio is available on the more recently produced cars (I think May 2003-present). Check the inside of the driver's side door/jam for a black sticker stating it has been prewired. -Interior is very Japanese (i.e., well-designed, functional, ergonomic, and modern) which may not appeal to some buyers (but is most certainly not "cheap" feeling)

-Styling to die for -Those 280 horses -That engine growl -The sound system (Premium Package) -The sumptuous leather -Excellent fit and finish -Sports car handling w/luxury amenities -Fold down reat seats which provides more storage capabilities -Terrific visibility - even rear quarter -The feeling you get by driving something this sexy!

Weakness:

The seats offer infinite motorized adjustment. I would have liked the seat back recline to be motorized instead of manual as well. And memory seatback settings would have been appreciated, but this is really minor. Other than this, I can find no weaknesses worth noting!

Having only driven Mercedes cars for the last ten years, it surprised me when I found myself drooling at the G35 Coupe. Mercedes quality isn't what it used to be and obviously Infiniti quality has been greatly enhanced. The G35 is hands down the sexiest coupe for the money available. It's hard to believe you can get this much horsepower with the most intoxicating engine growl imaginable for $35K. The car handles like a car costing significantly more and the fit and finish are exemplary. I purchased the car with the premium package and sport wheel package. I also got the G35 rubber floor mats, which are highly recommended. The only other add-on was splash guards, which even if they don't do anything particularly useful, give the car a more aggressive stance. The dealer I worked with was unbelievable. Initially, I registered at Autobytel.com. The local dealer contacted me within minutes of my registration and from car color selection to options that suited my driving the best, I was treated with the utmost courtesy and professionalism. I paid MSRP, but was not gouged on my trade in in any way. While I can honestly say I highly recommend the car, don't buy yours just yet. Let mine be one of the few G35 Coupes on the road for a while!! OK??

Engine Responsiveness Maneuverability in turns Surpisingly spacious Very Unique Styling Engine Growl Love the two power outlets. (Charge Cell Phone and Purchase Radar Detector you are going to need it)

Weakness:

I'm not able to by many parts to boost the performance.

I recently purchased a used 2003 G35 Coup (6MT) with 13,600 miles for $30,500 ($33,500 including tax, tag, & title). The 6 speed manual transmission comes with leather seats and the 18" wheel option. The other options on the car included the aero package, navigational system, and sunroof. I have been an SUV owner for 9 years (Jeep Cherokee and Nissan Pathfinder) and I must say that this is the best fun I have ever had driving. The responsiveness of the engine is awesome. The growl from the stainless steel dual-tipped muffler entices you to let the beast out of the engine and it doesn't let you down. The G35 Coupe's ability to handle curves and turns is also great. The G35 Coupe is not just performance. The amount of space is very shocking. I was surprised at how comfortable the seat is for a guy my size. The side bolsters keep you in your seat even when taking hairpin curves, and you are able to take more than one thrill-seeker on your journey as long as they aren't 6+ ft. I could go on for days about how pleased I am with my purchase, but you will have to see for yourself, besides I like being the only G35 Coupe owner in my neighborhood.

Great Engine! Unique styling, I can easily pick one out on the interstate. There are still not that many out there so one can stay unique. The car also has great seats and it also has front, side and curtain airbags already included. It was definitely worth the price for it. Did I mention the acceleration?

Weakness:

The engine noise could loud in the higher revs. The main weakness though is its dealer network. I almost did not buy this car because of the hassle of dealing with the dealers. Watch out for the so-called environmental packages that these dealers add-on. Also, there are some dealer add-ons that you have to be careful about. The placement of the volume button in the radio is on the right side instead of closer to the driver. As mentioned, be careful with the six - cd changer. The Bose stereo system needs a subwoofer..The JBL stereo in some Toyotas and the Nakamichis and Mark Levinsons seem to have better sound. Be careful with the 18-inch rims and curbs. The car is also low enough that you have to be careful with the chin of the car or it will scrape on the curb also

I just got my Infiniti and it has been a blast! I got the premium package with the tire and wheel package. The accelerator is so responsive that I have to be careful getting onto the interstate! I looked at four dealerships in the Atlanta area and the best one I found was the Infiniti of South Atlanta. They showed me the dealer price and did not try to BS me into paying more. They did not have the color I wanted but I was able to use the price they gave me to leverage a better deal in another care dealership. If you live in Georgia and are interested in Infinitis, I highly recommend this dealership. Ask for George Jones. The price I quoted is out-the-door by the way which is the price that really matters if you want to buy it. One thing that I have heard about the G35 with the tire and wheel package is that the Michelin tires might wear out quickly. I guess I will have to find out. I am sort of partial to Bridgestones myself. Another thing I have learned is that the six- cd changer/player in-dash has to be carefully loaded otherwise it can jam and you can have a broken cd player in the car. The car also has a gamut of safety features with three (count them!) airbags on each of the front occupants. The xenon headlamps are also standard and the quality of the interior is just top notch. I hope the silver accent in the middle of the car will last the wear and tear though. Other than these, the coupe is both a looker, and a winner. It is a great buy for me. I will keep things updated. Hopefully, my experience will continue to be positive.
