Summary:
I really enjoy this car alot. I have had the oppurtunity to own 3 Cadillacs in the past, and by far this one is the best I have ever had. I have a 85 Sedan Deville as well in which I also love very much.

Strengths:
strong northstar V8 engine, modern body style, smooth ridin' classy automobile.Definetly a head turner. The Onstar is the most incredible feature I have ever seen in a auto.

Weaknesses:
none.

2002 Cadillac/DeVille

Summary:
I love this car. It has decent power and the car rides as if you're cruising on clouds.

Strengths:
Good engine and suspention. Fairly decent gas mileage until you turn the A/C on.

Weaknesses:
Had to replace 2 or 4 window regulators. Burns oil quite frequently.

Review 3 of 81

Price Paid:  $19000.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
2001 Cadillac Deville

Summary:
I bought this car when originally looking at the SLS/STS models and so far I am very glad I did. I got the taupe interior with the white diamond color and chrome wheels-- I get complements on the caddy wherever I go. The interior is very handsome with easy-to-use controls. Overall, I love this car.

Strengths:
Very comfortable ride, great gas mileage for a car this size (17/27 MPG), whisper-quiet cruising, very good fit/finish (the car's interior STILL smells like leather!), plenty of passing power above 50MPH, seats feel like XL-sized leather chairs (with a very soft, high quality leather, not hard and uncomfortable) and the gorgeous styling.... Far classier than any Lincoln product.

Weaknesses:
The engine LOVES to eat oil. Thank goodness the Information Center warns you when the car is about 2 quarts low or several people would burn the motors up! Another thing is when your brake pads start to wear down, there isn't a wear indicator on the pads, (giving off the high-pitched squeaking sound you've heard on other cars) and the only idea you'll have to warn about worn pads is a very intense shaking when braking.

Review 4 of 81

Price Paid:  $27000.00 from Miller Cadillac, Cha

Year / Model Reviewed:
2001 Deville

Summary:
The engineers finally are earning thier money! This automobile is by far the nicest Caddy I've had in a while. Totally re-engineered, tight, quiet, good fit and finish. White diamond pearl killer paint.

Strengths:
Ergonomically friendly; everything within easy reach, a stiff but not harsh ride. I wanted an Eldorado, but this is pretty close.

Weaknesses:
A little "cheap" here and there: tie downs in truck plastic which break easily. Not much else to say at this point; only put 1000 miles on it over 5 months.

Review 5 of 81

Price Paid:  $0.00 from Valley Oldsmobile Ca

Year / Model Reviewed:
2001 Cadillac

Summary:
I have always driven Cadillacs, my first being a 1963 Coupe deVille. My 2001 deVille is the natural successor to a great line of automobile. Good styling, wonderful performance and as much technology as they can squeeze into any car.

Strengths:
Considering the weight and 275 horsepower, fuel economy is usbeatable. I've gotten better than 30mpg on the interstate, 29 with 2 passengers and a trunk full of luggage. Plenty of excelleration for merging onto the highway and then some. Very comfortable and very quiet. Almost no engine noise except under full throttle. Good lines and good looks.

Weaknesses:
Front wheel drive. I can't wait until they return to a rear drive platform.
