Strength:
This tire is purported to be good in the rain. I don't drive my car in the rain, so I cannot say whether this claim is true. The cost of the tire is low in comparison to its competitors.
Weakness:
This tire is so noisy that it is distracting from my driving enjoyment. The tread noise is worse than a cheap snow tire. The steering feels a little dead-on-center, which is very noticeable on my Porsche 944 Turbo. The tire carcass takes a definite set when the car is parked for a few days, resulting in a rough ride for the first few miles while the tires are coming up to temperature and becoming round again. This tire is definitely not a replacement for the Yokohama A008 RS tires which I have had several sets of. It is a real disappointment. I have complained to the Yokohama High Performance Tire Specialist (who initially recommended that I use the A-032) and all I have is his apology, and a set of virtually new tires that I hate to drive on. Yokohama says that a real replacement for the A-008 RS will not be coming soon. Similar Products Used: Yokohama A-008 RS, Yokohama A-008G, Dunlop D40M2 |
