Strength:

Handling, durablity, noise level.

Weakness:

ummmm, high price

Got a supercharged bonneville and drive like a bat outta he** most of the time, these tires still almost look new after 1yr. (i dont do intentional burnouts) Handling around corners is superior and noise is minimal. Driven in lots a snow, passing by 4x4's and all wheel drives stuck on the median or ran off the side of the road. :)

Strength:

none thse tires are dangerous!

Weakness:

rain traction wet traction. about every kind of traction u can name it sucks at it.

from the time i bought my car till now (8 months) i've always hated these tires. they break loose and peel out if i accelerate hard from a stand still, squeal in every damn turn, and have the worst traction ever! i had better traction on my 88 volvo with good year tires. these tires are a liability in the rain and snow. going 5 mph into a turn while there was about maybe an inch of fluffy snow and i slide about 10 ft and i jammed the wheel left to avoid parked cars on my right side, and the tires never had traction. WARNING do not drive even remotely fast with these deadly tires while in the rain. i have been into 2 accidents because of my damn stock tires! these tirese blow! i can't wait to get my goodyear eagle f1's. can't get any worse.

Strength:

This tires only good point is that it lasts MUCH longer than a standard Z rated tire but you pay for it by having traction not much better than a H rated tire.

Weakness:

No wet traction. Poor handling at high speeds.

For nearly $200 a tire I expected A LOT more from these tires but after 8 months of use I am EXTREMELY disappointed. Wet traction is not about that of a general stock tire. The tires constantly squeak and slip in completely dry conditions around most corners and even just pulling in/out of parking spaces. Save your money and get some Kumho's for half the money and twice the traction. This tire would be good if you want something that lasts like an H but has a bit better traction but beware... this is not a performance tire.

Speaking from experience in autocrossing I was much more satified (and feel safer with) Kumho 712's or some Yokahama's

Model Reviewed: 1998 Integra GS

Strength:

Treadwear, traction

Weakness:

Price - they are the most expensive tire for the Integra

These tires came on my car, and I have been extremely happy with them. They handle great in warm and cold weather, dry and wet conditions. I've got 68K miles on them, and now finally need to replace them. I'm certainly no Sunday driver, and would not have expected them to last this long, but they have. Will probably pay the extra $ and buy them again.

Strength:

Good ''high-performance'' tire that can truly be used all 4 seasons. Quiet.

Weakness:

Ride quality a bit harsh. With medium (or heavy) throttle, when road is wet, tires easily break loose. I guess the torque of my modified LT-1 is too much for an ''all season'' tire.

Replaced original Goodyears (235/55SR-16)on my 94 Trans Am with these (245/50HR-16). Handling, cornering, and traction (dry, rain, or snow) all greatly improved. Price is reasonable (saw no reason to pay more for V- or Z-rated tires), ride is quiet, but a bit harsh. Overall, very satisfied. (Only put about 3000 miles on so far, so I don''t know about treadlife.)

Strength:

Good handling

Weakness:

Price, wear

I went with the XGT-V4 after the OEM RE92 wore out. I expected a lot more from tires that cost this much. Dry traction was good, but not great. Rain was okay, so was snow. The tires wore out relatively quickly, barely got 25K miles wearing all the way down to the indicators.

Overall, good tires; however, for the money, only fair. I went with the Dunlops after the XGT's. They cost me about $85 each, were Z-rated, wore better, and had better traction in dry, rain, and snow.

Strength:

Great versatility in abilities! Exceptional grip on both wet and dry surfaces. I just replaced the stock Goodyear tires on my GTI and it handles like a new car. Wheel spin under heavy acceleration has been reduced dramatically.

Weakness:

I have yet to find any....

These are more tire than many cars need, but they can trully enhance the handling performance of your auto.

Model Reviewed: Pilot XGT-H4 (same tire, different speed rating)

Strength:

Good ride, handles well in wet and dry conditions, quieter than the Goodyear RSAs that originally came with my Avenger

Weakness:

Nothing worth mentioning

I bought these tires as replacements for the original Goodyear RSAs that came with the Avenger(215/50R17). These tires are a little wider (225/45R17). The car handles better and rides quieter (the RSAs lasted 65,000 miles but are noisey!). After hearing about all the problems with the RSAs, I think it was dumb luck.

I've always been told by Michelins if you have the money. Now I see why.

Strength:

Ok on turns etc

Weakness:

These tires came stock on my car the are horible. I hate them first of all the tires are not wide enough (195) second tread wears to fast. They squel evertime I floor it. Hydroplan like crazy on water. Tires scream like a little baby in the rain ( the car almost doesn't move!)

I would not recommend this tires for performance driving. Its a good touring tire for compact cars. Its garbage for sports cars.

I have used Pirelli's and GoodYear. Pirelleis are good but Goodyears suck worse than Michellin.
