Poor Wet Road Traction
What a disappoinment this tire has been so far. Coming off a set of 9 year old Bridgestone RE730, I have to say I am not at all impressed with the performance of these Kumho. Maybe it's not fair to compare Dry Summer Tire with All Season Tires, but other than the ride comfort and and noise level, there's nothing to get excited about these tires. In fact, the wet traction is so bad, that these brand new tires perform even worse than the RE730 with 50% tread left that I have taken off. The limited-slip kicks in every time I turn a corner on a wet road which rarely happens on the RE730. Perhaps this is not a suitable choice for rainly area. Also, the tires I received are Made in China not Korea, not sure if this has anything to do or not, but they were very unbalanced from the factory. The shop had to put a lot of balance weights on it, even than I still get a high speed shimmy. I now have to go back to shop to get them to balance it again. Yes, these tires are relatively cheap, but you sure get what you pay. Similar Products Used: Bridgestone Potenza RE730

Strength:
Cheap, good all around for the first 10k.
Weakness:
Wet driving hydroplane, bad tread life, decreased performance for 2nd half of short life. I've put 31k miles on them in 1 2/3 years. They do slip in rain but my traction control keeps them in line. Fair for high speed turns. Did not wear well even with 3 alignments and rotating every 5k. Started with low road noise but it increased dramatically along with the harder ride as the tires wore.
