Every thing from dry straight line traction to turns in the snow. Horrible tires, I had BF Goodrich Radial TA's but every good thing must come to an end. These tires are terrible on dry road I am understeering through turns, and having to ease onto the gas in a race as to not burn rubber to half way through 2nd gear. In the rain I am sliding everywhere. I think the only time I'm not sliding is then I'm not moving. I have used these tires in the snow and really was upset with how bad these were. Needless to say I'm upset by how I spent the money on these and now after 3000 miles I have to by new ones so I can feel at least some what confident while driving my car. |

Strength:
Nothing that you couldn't get in another tire of comparable price. You'd be better off spending a little more for a better tire.
Weakness:
You name it. It's a weakness. These tires are the worst tires ever. I have no control in the snow. Because of these tires, two weeks ago, I smashed up the front end of my car. I slid into a guard rail when making a right-hand turn at 5 mph in the snow.

From composition to handling These tires absoultely suck! I have a company car and Pep Boys installed a set of these tires on my car after calling my lease plan company. They authorized the installation.

Strength:
Good handling in most weather conditions when relatively new.
Weakness:
Very noisey, quick wearing, hydroplanes These tires were installed as a part of the deal when I purchased my used 1995 Lincoln Mark VIII. An alignment was done as well. I don't know what the dealer paid for the tires but he obviously wanted to spend the least amount possible to increase his profits. (Pep-Boys lists them for about $220/set) I have put 32,000 miles on the tires and really have no complaints in the handling department. I had a near-miss at about 50 mph when I had about 30,000 on the tires and they held on when another tire may have let go - so I can't bad-mouth them too much! I live in Northeast Texas and our weather conditions are very mild. I have had to drive in lots of sudden down-pours and for the first 10,000 miles hydroplaning was not a problem but became quite scary around 15,000. It's very noticeable when I have the cruise control set and hit standing water spots on the highway. We do have some icy conditions here in the winter but I haven't noticed any real problems with the tires - it's the heavy, powerful, rear-wheel drive Mark VIII that's the porblem in those conditions! The main problem I have with the tires is how much road noise is transmitted into the interior - it's extremely loud at all speeds. Also, I have always kept the proper air pressure and rotated at regular intervals but they did not make the 50,000 mile claim. They are completely worn out at 32,000 miles. But hey, for the price they are a good handling 30,000 performance tire. |

Strength:
Great grip in dry conditions; better than average grip in the rain....pretty good value for the money......offer good handling characteristics (turn in, etc)......low tread noise......
Weakness:
VERY POOR GRIP IN THE SNOW.....THE WORST THAT I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED! If you live in an area that is not affected by snow, then this is a great tire......good value, excellent performance.....low tread noise.... Similar Products Used: None |
