94 Integra GSR w/ S-03 pole positions
Strength:
Excellent grip! Good looks.
Weakness:
Quite a bit heavier than my previous Nitto NT-505 Exit GS I got these for my 94 integra gsr and I gotta say that the s-03's are awesome tires...you can turn as hard as you want and they won't make a noise! And they grip pretty well when drag racing too, only you gotta launch it just right because the side walls are very stiff and can shake the hell out of your front end. Specifications: 195/50ZR 15 inch on Stock GSR blades. |

Strength:
Grip for wet and dry roads.
Weakness:
Pricey in some areas. Excellent tires! Drag racing one minute, driving home the next. Good all around grip for dry and wet roads. Tire wear is outstanding, performance is only slightly affected by wear. Extremely difficult to burn and equally difficult to squeal. Looks, performance (wet/dry) Lack of noise.
Weakness:
Price, and from what everyone says treadwear. Damn. Tires look good, handle like no other. I had BFG Comp T/A on my car before and there is no comparison. NONE. Those tires SUCK! They have no wet grip and pretty crappy dry grip. It rained for the first time out in So Cal last week and these tires did better than expected. If you can put up the cash than buy these tires, you wont be sorry. Similar Products Used: BFG Comp T/A 295/35ZR18. Pirelli PZero. 295/35ZR18. |

Strength:
Great grip, good life (for a performance tire)and good wet performance.
Weakness:
Not the cheapest tire around. Replaced the original 225/50ZR16 Pirellis on my '95 RX-7 R2 with 245/45ZR16 S-02s at the suggestion of another RX-7 owner. Had to choke down the price at $1000+ for a set of four, but don't regret it a bit. Great handling, braking and traction. Actually have gotten well over 30,000 miles (closer to 35K) on this set. I took my car to a new shop for balancing and rotation with 15k miles on the S-02s and the guys wondered why I was rotating my "new" tires! Similar Products Used: Had Pirelli P-Zero as original equipment, much prefer the S-02! |

Strength:
Excellent all-around street tire. Possibly the best wet weather tire made. Excellent dry weather grip. Good ride, low noise.
Weakness:
Fast wearing, especially once the harder outer rubber layer is worn off. Tires cannot take heat at all. Track workouts melt them down adn will accelerate wear at an alarming rate. Too expensive to abuse and wear out quickly. When I just drove the SO2's on the street, I loved them. They are reasonably quite, grip like crazy, hold the road even if it gets wet, or a little sandy, seemed to be wearing well, and were just great street tires. Then we took a long trip on some very twisty desert mountain roads. The SO2's were great, no problems at all, except we could smell hot rubber. By the end of the day, the tires had visibly worn. Then we did an autocross. In just one half day on an abrasive surface, the entire inner tread band had worn noticably, and was heavily feathered. The outer blocks were similar, and very scruffy looking. Finally, we did a track school on them, and noted that they were really not taking the heat well at all. In the subsequent road driving, the tires are gone. The inner band of tread is gone, and went away very fast. Not good, as this represents less than 8,000 miles for an expensive set of tires. For street-only duty, you cannot buy a better set of tires. However, if you abuse your tires at all, like track schools, or autocrossing, these are not the best choice! Similar Products Used: Dunlop 8080E - No comparison, SO2's will blow them away everywhere. Yokohama AO32R - SO2's are very close in dry track performance, but thses track tires out-last them easily, regardl;ess of the UTQG of 60 vs. 180. AO32R's can take the heat, SO2's cannot! |

Strength:
-Excellent wet weather perfomance, especially on the brakes. The extreeme V-pattern tread clears out the water to leave a dry(ish) contact patch. Just look in the rear view on a wet road and you see two very clear tracks!
Weakness:
Wear, Wear, Wear!! 13K miles had shreded my tires! I am not a 'press on' driver, but often carry 4 passengers plus luggage. These tyres do not like a hard life. I bought them to improve things in the wet and they did that... but at a cost! If you want a sticky tyre, where grip is everything these are the tyres for you. I never once activated the ABS or TC with these tyres! Best tyre I've driven in the wet. Similar Products Used: Dunlop SP9000 - no contest. Braking and turn in are noticeably better on the Bridgestones. |

Strength:
Excellent grip, low noise
Weakness:
Fast wearing Works great on my modified '91 Lexus. Excellent dry and wet traction but wears a bit fast, as to be expected from a high performance tire. Low noise in my application compared to others I've tried. Highly recommended if price isn't a factor. Similar Products Used: Comparable to P-Zero System in dry and better in wet. |

Strength:
good grip in both dry and wet conditions
Weakness:
a bit too still for road humps I replaced my three year old Michelin Pilot with Bridgestone S-02 two months ago. The Michelin didn't cut it in wet weather, not even on a slightly wet surface after a drizzle. The S-02 holds much better and allows a higher cornering speed. You can add the throttle long before reaching the apex of the corner. Similar Products Used: Michelin Pilot MXM (225/50 R16) |
