Model Reviewed: BFG A/T's

Strength:

Tread wear is great. Sand traction is good for those hard to reach surf spots. Great ride(low hummm = relaxing)

Weakness:

They can't keep a small Honda Accord from side swiping you and jacking up your suspension.

I had a set of 31x10.5 on my Ranger and they worked awsome. They were great on and off the road. They got me from Southern California to VA Beach, CA and back again and you couldn't tell bythe tread wear that I made the journey. In the dirt the performed great. They dont do to bad in the snow either.

Strength:

Superior traction in mud, sand & especially deep snow. & it didn't do too bad on ice either. Absolutely gorgeous tire. & as far as the road noise, I kinda compare it to a performance exhaust (Yes, you hear it. But man does it sound nice!). Main strength is that it is FAR superior to any tire in its class in any senario. Wear was also great for a tire of its nature.

Weakness:

Do not buy these tires if you have a girlfriend who drives your truck & likes to scrub curbs!! She did a number on the white letters (sidewalls loved it though).

I SWEAR BY THEM! I use the heck out of these tires & they just beg for more. Mud, snow, sand; doesn't matter. Got stuck once in snow(My own fault). Funny thing was, a Dodge 3/4 ton with RT/S's and twice my ground clearance didn't get up the hill half as high as I did with my BFG's (got stuck at mp6, he made it about 50' past mp2). As soon as I dug myself out, I came down that hill like I owned it (seasonal forest road that hadn't seen humans for probably 2 months). All I can say is "wow".

Strength:

looks, traction, longevity.

Weakness:

a bit nioser than some, but not enough to worry about

can't say enough about them. I have had these same tires on every truck that I have owned. They wear well, and have great trraction on every surface I have put them on. I 4 wheel quite a bit, and they have never given me any reason to want a different tire. The current ones on my jeep wrangler have lasted me 80,000 miles or so, and are getting ready to be replaced, but they have been there since 95, two weeks after I bought the jeep!!!

Awesome look and traction

Weakness:

I disagree with all the comments on tread life. I have had these on my jeep for over 46,000 miles and they still look and work pretty well. They have always gotten me in and out of wherever I wanted to go.

Strength:

Awesome mud and snow traction for the first 25,000 miles.

Weakness:

Wearing unevenly and lost major snow and mud traction after 25,000 miles. Very noisy on the highway. Especially as they wear.

Good tire for the first 25,000 miles then lost allot of its traction. And at 35,000 miles they are wearing uneven and makes the car seem as if it is out of balance. Rotate and balance them every 6000 miles. Very noisy especially as they get older.

Strength:

Aggressive tread, good in the rain, looks great with a heavy coat of armor all, low highway noise.

Weakness:

Price goes up with popularity, but i cant complain, I bought them.

I cant see how anyone can drive a truck in Texas without a set of BFG A/T's. I have used BFG tires on all my trucks over the years and I have no complaints.

Strength:

Great tire right off the shelf for 10K. Look nice, and ride smooth.

Weakness:

Wear fast, High Maintance, loose traction fast and become terrible tires

I didn't care much for these tires. They barely lasted 30,000. They also lost alot of traction after 10-15K, Couldn't handle slippery mud or deep snow after this.
