Strength:
Incredible, positive clamping force and absolutely no slip. Reduced clutch pedal travel
Weakness:
The only drawback is the increased effort required to push the clutch pedal in. It is quite a bit harder than stock. Tiring in stop and go traffic. I built up the 2.5L Probe motor, all internal work, to the tune of 225HP. The stock clutch started slipping with the very least modifications, so I decided to go with the ACT stage 2. It went together perfectly (actually identical to the stock clutch). On the road it's great, with almost instant engagement, but enough play to make it driveable. Sometimes it tends to chatter if you try to ride the clutch or feather it. On the strip it's a dream come true!! Just let it go and hold on!! I adjusted mine with the bare minimum of pedal travel for quicker engagement during shifts and it works great on the strip, but it's a pain in traffic. All told, it's a great clutch----no complaints whatsoever, even after many redline dumps!! Similar Products Used: Can only put it against the stock clutch, and in that case there is no comparison!! |
