i feel my coverage costs more than some other insurance companies, but i feel you "get what you pay for"

have not had but a handful of claims over the 15 plus years but they were handled efficiently, quickly and professionally.

2. Claims representatives under estimate damages for do-it-yourself automobile repairs (where they cut you a check).

The main reason I am responding to this review is due to an accident where I was injured from being rear-ended (at no fault of my owne). The State Farm PIP Department and its representatives were rude and unprofessional. They would find any means/reason to avoid paying my medical bills. The bills that were paid were two to three months late and I was sent to collections by one medical provider. I spent a great deal of time working with the insurance company and medical providers to coordinate payments and avoid collection action.

My only guess is that they were trying to save money. I finally had to hire an attourney because of their treatment. State Farm had to pay my attourney over $3k for his cut of the settlement of medical bills. This means that State Farm paid $3k more than they were reimbursed. There were no savings in this bottom line. Unfortunatly, we the customers have to pay for the actions of the PIP representatives.

The PIP departments actions were unreasonable and stressful to myself. I would not recommend purchasing PIP from State Farm.

PIP medical coverage. They will go the extreme to deny benefits, even at the risk of your health. They court IME examiners who assist in such denials.

I think the fact that I can if still driveable take my basically totalled car down to their office and have a check issued on the spot is a pretty strong quality. I also love the way State Farm is there 24/7/365 for my family. We have auto insurance currently with them and are switching our life insurance to them as well.We also have their hospital benefits.

The under writers in FL. My husband and I were State Farm Policy holders for many years and had moved from MN to TX no problem then moved back to MN still no problem however, when we moved to FL the under writers here did not want to pick him up as an insured because he had 3 tickets on his record and looked at him as a risk. I on the other hand do not agree that 3 tickets is unreasonable given his job as a truck driver with a CDL no accidents or any other major moving violations and considering he logs more miles in a year then most people do in their life time, was a bit confussed when they turned us down for 3 years. We are now back with State Farm and boy have I missed them!

One of the best in the business. I appreciate my agent and the ladies working with his office. Fast friendly service with care!

American Surety and Casualty- EXCELLENT however a little more expensive then State Farm. They no longer write Policies here in FL or we might still be with them.

Delivery primarily through an agent. On those occassions when we need after hours or internet access, we have it available.

We have monthly bills and MANY policies. Sometimes it can get confusing - but the agent always hangs in their to resolve any questions.

Very positive experience. I have been with them 30 years, in 3 states and started as a farmer and progressed through several busineses. All my insurance I can have with them, I do. The same goes for the rest of my family. We have rarely found an individual that does not want to help, on those rare occassions when we do, we simpoly ask for a diffrent person and have always been provided with one.

Not all products are offered in all states...example, health products not available in NJ.

I have been with the company for more than 20 years and have almost all of the products they offer. The expertise and service offered by my agent is invaluable. The products are competitively priced and have been extensive enough to meet my needs throughout various stages of my life. I have lived in several states and the service and product quality has always been consistent. I recently moved my all my banking needs to the State Farm Bank as well.

I was with State Farm for >20 years for both home-owner's and multiple auto coverages. In general, I had very good experiences with them. Very courteous, professional staff. I had only one home-owners claim in 20 years (lightning struck and killed a tree in my yard) and only glass damage on the vehicles (rock-cracked windshields). Each claim was handled quickly and paid within a week. On the negative side, I recently got a minor speeding ticket (11 mph over in the middle of the Nevada desert) and my auto rates went throught the roof -- up about$500/year; this despite a near perfect driving record.

I recently switched auto coverage to AIG. Their rates are half those of State Farm. I have no experience processing a claim with AIG, so I have no basis for comparison on customer service.
