Well I guess I gotta tell the truth here. I learned about this company due to a woman swinging open her rusty old pickup and put a door ding in my vehicle. Service was great when it came down to repairs, they were very nice & professional and accommodating with the repair and even took care of the car rental. Went out of the way to drive me to pick up the rental car. Everyone at the auto shop in New Lenox (I think) was very professional and personable.

Only after being covered for 1 month I decided to call them for a quote for my teenage son who will be turning 18 in a few days. BIG mistake,..the service rep., took it upon herself to add my son to my policy and said she had too since he resides with me? Oh really since when? I was told the amoount to add my son was $1,000 but my coverage was on 421 for six months. Needless to say they would not remove him from the policy so I was forced to cancel the policy. Low and behold, those crooks only said they would refund a small portion since the policy now covered my son. They never got a copy of my son's driving record so how in the world can they go and add him at that high price?? Do yourself a favor and NEVER call them for a quote, don't give them your policy number,social security number or any pertient information when calling for a quote. They promised me the manager would call me back,....never did!!! To make matters even worse, they finally told me they would have to keep my son on the policy but will send me something saying if he ever drives the vehicle and have an accident they will not have to pay the claim.

Bad company to insure with,...customer service is all very phony. They apologized perfusely but couldn't help with the problem. The supervior NEVER will call you.

I nocticed that my insurance wasnt being paid like normal because I normal have it drafted from my account and they hadnt because of a policy they had recently had well i have been paying every payment and they cancelled my policy on october 28 2009 it is may 4, 2010 and i got pulled over and my plate was taken and i have been paying i have a daughter and a job now i cant drive my car because they do not do there job they are absoultely terrible they did not handle there business and now i am stuck i hope that no one gets theis insurance it was absoultely terrible

No strengths whatsoever. Very disappointing.

No one knew what was going on. I talked to 3 different people to handle one claim. one person was out of town. Very unprofessional. The list goes on

Geico didn't want to pay out. I used to have Geico insurance but dropped them and when I was hit by another person with Geico they were difficult to work with. 3 people worked on my claim. One was out of town. I did not know they were going out of town. Took 30 days to repair car. Wasn't able to open the hood on my car. Worried about engine damage. My engine light went on for awhile. Claims Adjuster pay for coverage for rental. The rental company had to bill them. Did not pay full amount for check for damages. They were a couple $100 short. My autobody had to go and contact them for that. I feel bad for the autobody shop. They didn't need to do that. Geico never did get the information right on the vehicle. I had to contact the other party who hit me to get the information. They didn't contact the witness in a timely manner. very bad customer service.

None. Dishonest. Stay away! My wife was hit by a GEICO customer. T-boned on the right side of her jeep. GEICO gave us the runaround and then refused to pay for over 3,000 dollars in damage caused by their drive. Their low rates and great customer service is paid for by their not paying claims. Now we have to sue the drivers. Stay away!

Dishonest. Runaround. Don't pay claims. Stay away! Cute commercials don't matter when you have wrecked car and people who don't care and wont do their job.

I had my insurane with Geico. "HAD" being the key word. I was involved in an accident in 8/09 and the lady was cited for blowing a red light and Geico paid out $ 1700 in property damages to her when it was 100 % her fault. Then this month they decided to drop me with the explaination that they paid out property damages. If you have Geico, watch them they will drop you if you need to put a claim in and they have to pay out. They are a cunch of scumbags and are trained to scam and lie!!!!!!!!!!! All of the employees they have a absolutely the stupidest people I have ever talked to.

vehicle hit other driver given ticket but Geico does not want to fix vechile. If we could afford 2010 car wouldn't need this fixed. we drive what can pay for did have to borrow the $1800 plus interest, license and sales taxes

Good at Acting like they Care...

.....as Long as You Never Need Them

I am not sure if it was my situation that warranted such a bad experience, but I was a poor, vulnerable college student when I was involved in a wreck in September of 2004.

At the time I was driving a jalopy with dents all around when I was hit by a red light runner. GEICO assigned me an agent. I think his name was Justin Morgan or something like that. It has been a long time and I do not remember everything that was said and done, but it brings to mind a old quote: 'people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but they will never forget how you made them feel.'

To make a long story short, Justin (or whatever the boy's name was) made me feel very lowly, confused and disrespected. I tried to negotiate the settlement amount that I was to receive (keep in mind that I was younger and naive at the time) and he went into this rant about how ghetto my car was. I mean, come on: I knew my car was ghetto but did he really have to be that disrespectful about it? Also, I decided not to settle on account of the fact that I really needed my car and could not afford to go without it long enough to find another decent car for $2,000, and I told him that. Nonetheless, he still hounded me to settle. I felt as if I was being harassed with all the constant phone calls and messages.

I have since graduated from college and I drive a much nicer car, and I wonder if his treatment of me would be different in my current situation. I will never know; I have refused to go with GEICO ever since.

By the way, I am covered with a full coverage policy with a small local insurance company that charged me less than 60% of what my GEICO policy would be. Don't be blinded by the weird money clip or the ridiculous song- there are better insurance companies.

Aweful if you ever need them

Some guy hit my car while it was parked and Geico's adjuster completely ripped me off as far as the claim estimate. It was completely shocking. I'm supposed to replace my car parts with inferior autoparts. They are a complete scam and their fair and reasonable department is unfair and unreasonable. It was disgusting, plus their claims people can be scandalously rude. NEVER NEVER NEVER recommend these con-artists.

Do not buy or get insurance through GEICO. They are SCAM / RIPOFF.

I driver who had Geico insurance hit my car about two weeks ago.

I tried to file a claim through Geico, since the other driver was at fault. Geico is giving me a run around for two weeks now.

They claim the other driver did not file a claim and they cannot find my accident or claim. It has been over two weeks, and I still don't have anything - only a damaged car.

GEICO IS A RIP-OFF COMPANY. STAY AWAY FROM THEM AND THIER STUPID GECO (GREEN UGLY MONSTER!).

How could such companies operate like this???
