Strength:
low cost
Weakness:
not very durable
This system is very economical, but not very durable.I had it on the car for about 3 years and the tips looked very good for about 2 years, but rotted from the inside out later. The system fits up well but needs to be adjusted several times to kepp it from contacting the underside of the car and the fuel tank.

Sweet low tone! Fits together with ease and combined it with Mac equal length headers and Mac H-pipe with cats. Nice HP gain!
Weakness:
None! I never installed an exhaust before, but this exhaust was easy to install. I wanted to open up my whole exhaust after putting in a blower so I went with an all Mac set up. Works like a charm! There is a definite jump in the entire powerband band! |

Strength:
- Price - Great sound - Don't "resonate" at speed like my flowmasters did.
Weakness:
THE TAILPIPES!!!!!!!!!!! 1. They're chromed steel. They look great going on but start rusting inside and out after only a few months. 2. The tailpipes have no adjustment!!! The hangers are welded to the tailpipes. I took a sledge hammer to the hangers just to get the tailpipes to look reasonablly lined up. Installation was a little tricky. Getting the system on wasn't a problem but it took a number of tries at adjusting the exhaust so it didn't hit any part of the undercarrage. Similar Products Used: I had 2-chamber flowmaster mufflers on my '86 Mustang.(not a catback). The flowmasters were much louder but would drone on the highway. The noise would drive me nuts. |

Great sound Great power
Weakness:
aluminized - not stainless steel Great product. We picked up 10+ rwhp across the powerband. You can read the article and view dyno results on it here: http://www.dynoperformance.com/article_details.php?ID=22 |

*Sounds deep. Like a combo of flows and dynomax. Awesome sound. I now stick out of the 5.0 pack, since everyone i know has flows. *Flanges make it easy to install. *Crome pipes look awesome *NO WELDING *CHEAP!!! *Out performs other catbacks
Weakness:
NONE! Great product! Best sounding catback in my opinion. I love the rumble while idling, the deep deep growl while accelerating, and the crackling at high rpms. Great performing. First time i could feel a difference in the power if my car. |

Strength:
Nice sounding. Very little resonance if any. Good looking, wide chrome tips.
Weakness:
Not a true fit like the Flowmaster. My mechanic had to do a little adjusting under the car to a make it fit tight, also one tip sticks out a little further than the other but I may see if this can be adjusted by anothe muffler shop (my mechanic said it was the kit). Good sound. Could be a little louder at idle but still has nice deep mellow tone that''''s better than stock for sure and when you hit the throttle, it sounds great!! Don''''t know if there is any noticeable horsepower gain. Similar Products Used: Flowmasters on my ''''92 5.0 Mustang. Sounded good...about a tie. |

Definate pwr. increase. EASY to install. Cheap price, good quality. I have the whole system from headers to tail tips. 1 1/2in. cool chrome tips.
Weakness:
catback sys. bangs up against the frame in the rear. VERY anoy. I had to rig a radiator hose with a hose clap through it to keep it from banging up against the frame during acceleration. Quite a prob. The mufflers are NOT as good sounding as flow masters. Anyone want to trade? I really expected a much deeper sound. Again the ads fool you. Id go ahead and get a flowmaster system. mac was a little cheaper for me and well, I get what I paid for. I think im going to swap the mac cat back system back to the flowmaster cat system. It just sounds better. however, i'll leave the headers and hi flow cats. they're ok. the freaking banging of the pipes on the frame encourages me to give a 2 star overall rating for my "extra" work thats was easy but a pain. Similar Products Used: Flowmaster. All the same except the flows are MUCH more better. Mustangs just love those flowmasters. |

Strength:
Loud SMOOTH sound, not clanky/poppy like Flowmasters. Agitates ricers. Very easy to install. Big ballsy "muscle car" sound.
Weakness:
Drivers side muffler is slightly twisted when installed. Be sure to retighten after a few weeks of bouncing around when system is first put it. I'm happy with them. The sound is smoother and lower than Flowmasters. In my opinion the Flows sounded too clunky/clacky/cheapo. Mac had the V8 tone I was looking for. Flows on classic Mustangs sound really good, but not on late models. Dynomax sounded good too but not loud enough for me. Similar Products Used: Stock, Flowmasters, Dynomax |

Great sounding. Definate power increase
Weakness:
The tip on the drivers side is about a 1/2 inch lower than the passenger side. I got the system with the "huge" 3 1/2 inch tips. It looks awsome! The sound is incredible! A true head turner. I noticed a definate power increase. It is alot easier to spin the tires now (I try not to though). I would definately recomend this system to everyone. Similar Products Used: The stock system... No comparison! |
