Model Reviewed:
t3/10 inch
Strength:
Has high endurence when handled with twice its wattage with a Clarion amp. Can take a good beating.
Weakness:
When handled at max capacity, the wire under the woofer tends to rip from the cone and causes woofer to malfunction.I fixed it with my welding kit; Remove the peices that where ripped from cone,Push down on wire to place it back onto the cone(You can push quite hard,about4pounds)add 2 to3 drops of lead(dont worry the cone is solid!)then use Epoxy or high intensity gasket sealer.I used Crazy glue. Not bad for a (cheap) subwoofer. I had many brands of car audio equipment range;50$ to 650$ a sub, and this one I liked because after a severe beating giving more than twice its power for 2 to 3 hours , broke but could be fixed. Other subs would tend to burn the voice coil,(Fixable... for Pros!) we, the average person would be a lost case . For BEST performance use a sealed tight box(Square)no angle in rear box ! Make sure to seal the woofer and rear wire plugs with silicone, be generous. When dry, push on sub slowly till you reach half , and see how hard it is to push it down and how slow it takes the sub to come back. The slower the better!! Similar Products Used: I find it sounds like 10inch Clarion(2006-07 models) , just a bit less presice as the clarion would be . Jenson(wall-mart) also cheap, cheapper than Ultimate t3.Alpine , Cerwin-vega, Just has a good sound, does not give the hard stiff bass, sounds quite smooth.Im dont regret buying the T3,good replacement sub that is affordable untill you get bigger ones ! Have fun ! You can e-mail me for questions or recomendations,Im not a seller ,I wont suggest you stuff just for comission :) |
