This is for the 12"xlc which is now called an HE, the sub is very loud, and hit very nicely, but with all rockford subs the sound quality is lacking. I know have a perfect 12", and it hits harder and louder but is light years beyond rockford in SQ, but you will pay for the difference. If you lokking for a decent sub and dont have alot of cash, i would definatley recommend these. It was my first sub and it was great. It is much better than the mtx 6000 series.

I bought 2 of these 12" HE drivers and am running them off of a poweracoustik sp2x-520 amplifier and they are an amazing combo. The amplifier does 125X2 RMS at 0.02 THD so the bass is very tight and clean with no noticeable distortion. The bass shakes realy hard but what amazes me about these subs is how smooth of a stroke they have. I truly do think that poweracoustik amps are very under rated. If you listen to music that dosen't require huge heavy low bass loads then these subs are a deadly choice. My musical tastes are techno, jungle, and lots of good rock and these subs are an amazing compliment to my music. The amp has a nice neon light in iit that reflects off of the white on the subs and it looks deadly. I would highly recomend this sub to anyone who just wants a low end in their system and like to turn it up.
