Strength:

great price, high power handling, hits hard even with low power, small box, durable, looks tuff, sounds tuffer, wide range of bass(kinda high-looowwww), santoprene surround instead of foam = durrability!!!

Weakness:

it was kinda difficult to mount due to the? (whatever you call the rubber that covers the mounting screws) just be careful when mounting. oh yeah, the eager two hour break in period kinda sucked too, but was well worth the wait... oh yeah, i almost forgot, my neighbors hate it, so if you don''t like your neighbors, these are the subs for you!!!

i have a phoenix gold ms-2125 hooked up to these subs. that is only about 250 watts per sub... half of the rms rating. i must say that they sound great, no distorting, loud and clean, shakes everything: windshield, windows, mirrors, doors, trunk, house, neighbors house, everything, even my balls!!! well, i''ve got to say that these are by far the best 12''s i have ever had.trust me, i know what i''m talking about, but i am not gonna speak against woofers that i haven''t heard.

Strength:

Strong bass response. Will rattle your bones and your car.

Weakness:

sq a little weak and requires alot of power to get it moving.

In a good box, the sq can be good but the bass is unbelievable. This is truly an spl subwoofer that can dish out tons of bass. Needs a very strong and efficient amp. Can take alot of power. I have a mtx thunder 1000D on two punch HX2 and they SLAM!

Model Reviewed: 2 12" HX2's

Strength:

They hit hard and loud. Great subs for the price. Good construction. The DVC's give you some versatility (they're wired to 4 ohms).

Weakness:

Power hungry. Not as deep as I would like.

Prior to buying the HX2's, I have never heard a RF sub. I've heard some good things from them so I was kind of interested. I finally bought them after getting a very good deal on Ebay. They're marketed as an SPL sub - and that's what you get. They get very loud and they hit harder than I thought. They don't require too much space, RF recommends 1.25 cu. ft. per sub. These subs require alot of clean power and a mediocre amp will not cut it. They're a bit overrated, but a good sub nonetheless.

Similar Products Used:

Pioneer, MTX & JL. Overall, the HX2s are very good subs. But from experience, RF comes slightly behind JL.

Strength:

Excellent bass response, good sound quality for rockford. A HUGE IMPROVEMENT over last years model. I'm in love with it.

Weakness:

Have yet to find one, it hasn't bottomed out of fluttered on me yet.

This sub has impressed me from day one. The bass response is excellent, and I think that the sq is better than that of my 2 Infinity Perfect 12's that I had prior to these. These are the Punch series and they slam me all over the place from point a to point b. They get close to 700 watts each from a JBL 1200.1 wired to 1 ohm. Great subs, I'm as happy with them as I've ever been with any sub, makes all my music fun to listen too all over again. My advice is to pick one up if it's in your price range, you won't be disappointed.

Similar Products Used:

I've got limited personal experience using subs, but I've heard many, I find this sub comparable to a sqaure l7 of it's size. Previously I've owned last years model of the basic punch 12 (2) and a couple of infinity perfect 12's which are not so perfect cause I blew three of them before I decided to change brands. The gains were a 3rd of the way up they were never played at distortion levels.

Model Reviewed: (4) 12 hx2's

Strength:

Best subs for the price. Hard clean bass. I wake up my block from three streets away and thats at low volume.

Weakness:

Need a lot of wattage. Expensive amps just to push these 4 12's. I have 2 g800.2 running at 2ohms which gives out 400watts rms to every channel.

This sub has been the best sub that i have used overall. Especially at the price i got them. I have every 2 connected to a punch g800.2 and they make my 73' 4d caprice sound like if it was going break apart. Of course it doesn't compare to the Power rfr3112 hx2 or Audiobahn, but for the price value, these are the best subs to get.
