It can't take 70 watts.....and it's 100 watts rms.......= piece of trash it was cheap....and i bought it at best buy....big mistake.....the salesmann out right lied to me saying it could take 150 watts.....haha what a joke...maybe it could take that if the volume level was on 1...don't buy any car audio at best buy......pieces of trash if you ask me...all i can say is "I WANT MY $$$$ BACK!"... Similar Products Used: Baja 10" 100 rms sub sounded a lot better and could handle the watts |

Strong, clean bass, at low and high levels

Can't say anything I didn't like about em I paid $200 for the pair of Punch 10" XLC's, and $50 for a bandpass box at Best Buy that just had a cracked plexiglass cover. I don't have much experience with many other subs, but these things seriously hit, accompanied by an eclipse head unit, and boston acoustic component speakers, run off of only a 240 watt 4 channel PPI amp, it really did hit and sound nice Similar Products Used: None |

None Everyone here is talking about a different subwoofer, there are various punch 10's, the new punchs are the old RF series (well just about), the new xlc's were the old punchs. Check out the HED high excursions, they really rock. I run four 10" RFP-1410's which in other words are four 10 punch XLC's. Regular punchs are RFZ-1410's, specify which subs you have please. I also sternly believe that the quality of Best Buys stuff is much less than that of a car audio store. Notice how the amps have different lettering... 100x2 (best buy) and 100a2 off of Rockfords site... hmmm... cheaper line for people who don't need top end stereo equipment but want the rockford name (even though it may lower there name) Similar Products Used: None |

Cheap bass if you like music, not bass
Weakness:
clips sometimes, distortion at extreme levels I got one off a friend for a few bucks new and put a small pioneer to power it. I like the fact that it doesn't blow me away. I have a Focal/eclipse system and I like mids and highs and not a lot of bamf and boom to drown out the rest. It's just what I need, and that's the reason to buy it. Bass heads don't like fosgate because of the reason I like it. Buy what fits what you want, not what you're told is good on these pages. Still in all fairness, it's not the best sub out there, and I'm probably in the minority, so I won't rate it as the best. Similar Products Used: it's no eclipse or jbl |

The sub looks like it could sound sorta good
Weakness:
they dont handle any power, they distort easily, they clip quickly, they dont have enough bass to empress a teen maybe a 30 year old guy that likes bass. I DONT LIKE THIS SUB AT ALL AS AN AUDIOPHILE FOR THE SIMPLE FACT THAT THEY SOUND LIKE BUTT! Similar Products Used: Dayton Loudspeaker 10's out pound them and cost way less, MTX COMPETION 12" BLUE THUNDER cant even touch it, OEM 12" sorta sound like that,Kenwood rockford xtc sound close. |

cheap, sounds horrible, distorted, inaccurate, doesn't hit hard at all! paid $299 @ BEST BUY... it was part of a "party pack" they were promoting which included two RF punch subs and an amp and an enclosure box. DO NOT BUY! You get what you pay for, so stay away from this crap. Similar Products Used: MTX thunder... blows this away BY FAR!! Stock systems... most are better sounding than this. |

Well... they're good for rockford brand-name groupies. They look okay. Not much else.
