Strength:
Clarity. Build quality seems pretty darn good.
Weakness:
Uh......none really. People talk about the sub's SPL not being up to par but i think that helps in the subs clarity and crispness. Who the crap wants to hear nothing but there dumb sub firing away during a Pepsi Commercail. I know i don't. The Polk DX 10" sub sounds excellent. Great Clarity. Enough SPL for those that arent' into having there heads knocked off by the bass. I have heard other peoples subs and they just don't have the accuracy and punch that the Polk has. It's is actaully the first sub i have heard that i have liked. I am only feeding it 100 watts rms through a Alpine V12 amp and it has more than enough "oomph". Similar Products Used: eh. none. but i have heard others and they are not as crisp. |

Strength:
Excellent SQ the best i've heard. Use 250-400 watts each sub.
Weakness:
Clicking of the dust cap if you try to over power them Awesome subs. Have 2 12" in seperate truck boxes with 250 watts to each. They can go extremely low. The bass these things pump out is bad. Great value. Why buy 1 sub when you can get 2 for the same price. Similar Products Used: JL has no competition, 2 kicker compVR 12",3 HE2 12" |

Polk dx12 - 4 ohm
Strength:
Sound quality is outstanding in a nice tiny box.
Weakness:
I think JL''s might hit a little harder but the SQ is worth it. Built a MDF .87 ft enclosure. Got 126 dB out of (1) 12 in a extended cab pickup - but that''s max. Pushed by a MTX amp with 400 watts. Similar Products Used: MTX, JL Audio. Better than both for Audiophiles like myself. |

Tight, accurate bass. Crystal clear sound quality.
Weakness:
none, thier Polk''s!!! i have 2 12" dx''s and they are well worth the money. Had a problem with my subs and called Polk and they helped me out. They have a great customer service. People at my school dont know what they are talking about when it comes to Car Audio. They think that thier Kicker Comp''s sound better than my Polks! HAHAHA. Boy are they full of sh*t. Not very many people these days know what thier talking about. I am the only person in my whole school that knows what they are talking about and that has a great sounding systems. Me and my friend Ron enjoy building boxes(out of MDF only) and playing around with our systems. Infinity, Polk and Boston are some of the best brands for the money Similar Products Used: With Infinity, Polk or Boston you can''t go wrong. Unless of course you have the money to buy brands like A/D/S and Focal. |

Strength:
Outstanding sq
Weakness:
low spl Two dx 10''s powered by a Fosgate 600a4 bridged to two channels feeding 300w per sub in a GMC standard cab fullsize. The sq is incredible but I am quite dissapointed in the spl, only 122db. My enclosure is airtight and .66ft^3 ea. I don''t yet know how they''ll hold up. Similar Products Used: Alpine bass 2000 (2-12") pegged 126db meter MTX Thunder 5000 (3-12") pegged meter |

Strength:
good SQ
Weakness:
mechanical noise Good sub over all. Very tight and punchy bass. Good low end for 10''s. One BIG problem... The pole piece on these subs extends a little too far and when you get in to high excursions, it will click against that super hard dust cap... VERY annoying Similar Products Used: jl, Kicker, Crystal CMP, Jbl GT, MTX |

Strength:
The best quality that this sub has, is that it hits hard.
Weakness:
It does not have one yet, but it might need a new box here prety soon. The world listens to the same my music now. I'm probibly going to sell my 12" DX, and get two 10" MOMO's. Thats how much this one sub has made me stay with their product. Similar Products Used: It's better then the Kenwood Tornados I had before. |

Strength:
Bass hits low and accurate. Able to maintain long extended notes. Very small required airspace for steathly applications. Good high quality binding posts. Could probably handle a bit more power than what I use (400w @ 2ohms mono)
Weakness:
Not as loud as I would like. But then again, this sub is definitely designed more for SQ then for SPL. Well, considering the price, these subs look a lot better. I purchased mine with full factory warranty online for $240 for 2 10s (and free shipping!) Similar Products Used: Old RF series 1 tens and as expected, it blows the doors off of those! |
