Strength:

hit hard

Weakness:

weak cones(even though they look awesome.)

these speakers are great! They hit really good at just about any volume. The only problem i've had is wwith the cones cracking...so, i've had to replace one or two. But other than that, i'd totally recommend these for anyone.

Strength:

Strong and accurate, very deep and extended.

Weakness:

none so far, anyone that says they sound like crap is either overdriving them or doesnt have them in the right box.

I have these subs in a 3/4 mdf 1.5 cu.ft. sealed box in a 1991 240sx, They are being pushed by a Profile 400watt mono amp. I love these subs they hit hard and accurate, They handle more than the 160 watt rms. rating. I have had no problems with these, I know that the most commom problem is that the cones tend to crack, but mine havent I would recommend these subs for anyone wether your a begineer or competitor

Strength:

Strong low bass in small sealed enclosure.

Weakness:

Nothing

This sub freakin rocks. I have a free air model I got new for $40 (floor model) and I have it in a Sub Zero sealed box with 250 (a/d/s) watts going to it and it sound deep and tight, and pioneer lists it for 150rms!

Bass that rattles thru ya

Weakness:

Cone may rattle

My overall impression of this suv is that it hits incredibly well for a low wattage RMS, i am running a Pioneer 600x1 to them, with them bridged. I have a 1996 Dodge Neon and it rattles a lot of stuff in my dash, it even makes CD's move off my lap. Defintely a good sub for beginners or even pros that can afford lots of them.

i had two Punch 12's and two MTX 12's and i think this hits better then them.

Strength:

low bass and some power for the price. sounds better than fosgates. i'm pushing over 200rms. in them and haven't blown them considering that they are only designed for 160rms.

Weakness:

needs a good strong box and and takes a 1.5cubic ft. box needs alot of room.

i got a extended warranty so it ran about $400 dollars including a bandpass box in which they destroyed along with a sealed box. if your looking for something cheap i would recomend them because i shook the stuff on my neighbors walls and he lives about 75 yards away.

Strength:

This is alright sub if you dont mind having to buy 3 or 4 of them to equal what you could get out of one nice 12

Weakness:

too sensitive, dosnt hit hard at loud volumes just gets all boomy

Back when i didnt know much about car audio i bought two of these for my first system, I had them hooked up to a 200 watt amp and i couldnt even turn it all the way up cuz they are so sensitive. and even at their max they were never worth a sh*t. If thses subs cost like 70 bucks each brand new they would be alright but they are just way overpriced for the preformence they give. If you want pioneer go get the pioneer premier 12's those are some bas azz subs, but they arnt cheap.

Strength:

None

Weakness:

Not as loud as i would like it at SICKENINGLY LOW frequency's...so..I may be expecting to much. However, it does hit it.

These speakers are fairly tight. They produce an amazing amount of sound. I'm running 300 watts (rms) through them and they sound Great! Awsome sound, ... especially for the price. A must if you're in the market for a good system that can sound tight and mellow...or loud and BOOMY! They go either way.. A lot of people say that 300 watts is too much because of the recommendation Pioneer gives it. ...but that is BS! Trust me. It sounds perfect and not even close to distortion or popping. It can definitely handle it.

Strength:

loud, very deep, clarity is ok, very full range, I like the look of the diamondplate cone too.

Weakness:

boomy sounding, thats about it.

Actually I don`t own these subs, but I heard two of them in a truck behind the seat running off a 500 watt amp. He used larger than normal boxes to help the low bass, it made it more boomy, but I like the boomy sound they have. When I was about to listen to it I was thinking this is just going to sound like a regular "joe" system, but it scared me how loud they could get. I have hit a few times louder with an Audiobahn 18, but it couldn`t shake your skin like that system could it would make your nose, and your jaw vibrate it was pretty cool, they hit completely full range, and the clarity is actually pretty good (right under JL). These subs are probably the best for activating the lower resonances in your car like the steering wheel, and door panels for your money. I can`t Imagine what the 15 versions sound like.

Strength:

Even though this sub has minimal power handling (160w rms), it has to be one of the best subs I've heard. Goes well below the 40-30hz curve when it has to and hits ok when idiots are not trying to dump 300 watts into them.

Weakness:

Power handling. I thing Pioneer could have given it at least a 200w rms rating without killing us on the price.

I paid about 75 bucks apiece for them in the middle of May. Had them running off of a Punch 360a but the damn thing fried a circuit or something. So I bought another one (1ohm) and now they're running on a Pioneer GMX-922. It's putting out around 150-170 rms and sounds great. I would recommend them to guys starting out and want a nice sub. Besides, how low can you go??

Similar Products Used:

RF Punch, XLC, JL 12W3, Kenwood WS303, etc.... Sounds ok when compared to all of these subs. But nobody beats JL!!!!

Strength:

Everything, This sub has outlasted, outperformed orion, jl, and others by a long shot. I have 300 watts rms going to each sub, running off of a Memphis CA300 competition amp, and it gives me clean, clear, bass. they are excellent sub for affordable, effective low end.

Weakness:

dont like the terminals, wish they had push terminals

i paid about 80 bux for both of them. they are in a box that is about 1.2-1.4 ft3 and they sound nice.. i would reccomend them in a heart beat.
