Handles 500 watts RMS. Good low frequency extension. Very, very stiff cone. Mounting depth only 4.8 inches. Impressive sound quality.

There's nothing I don't like about this sub.

I have the XTR Pro 10 mounted in a 1.05 cuft box that I made out of 3/4" MDF. I'm using a MTX Pro 150 amp bridged to a 1 ohm load to drive the sub. I think the amp puts out well over 300 watts RMS to the sub. I also have a Lightning audio capacitator, Sony ES headunit and 4 guage power cables. This system is installed in my 86 Mustang (hatchback).

One of the reasons I went with this sub is the low mounting depth of the woofer. I don't have a lot of space in my trunk for a system so most 12 and 15 inch subs were out of the question. I'm also more into sound quality than SPL. I did have an Orion XTR Pro 12 sub before the 10 incher but, the box I made was only 1.25 cuft which was way too small for the sub to sound good. The XTR Pro 12 requires at least 1.5 cuft for decent low bass extension, in my opinion. I didn't have the space in my trunk for a bigger box so I just decided to go with the 10 inch version and I'm glad I did.

This sub is awesome. It hits incredibly deep and accurate. The bass is nice and tight and it can get pretty loud too if I crank it up. I'm not into competition or into head stomping bass but this sub would definetly do that job if so desired. I like this sub for it's SQ. For the $150 I paid for, it is too good to be true.

If I could have fitted a 1.6 cuft box in my trunk, I would have went with the XTR Pro 12 inch sub because it is a little more efficient than the 10 but my car is just too small.

5. HUGE magnet. I can palm a basketball and my hands aren't as big as the magnet!
6. Gotta love the DVC, just like having 2 speakers in 1!
7. 500W RMS power-handling. I couldn't imagine what that would sound like since I'm only running 100!

If you have read my review on the 15" XTRPRO DVC, that should let you know that I'm running 1-15" XTRPRO DVC, and 1-10" XTRPRO DVC. I decided to go with a 15" speaker as well as a 10" speaker so that I can have some high-tight-punchy bass from the 10" as well as the deep rumble from the 15". I was truly amazed when I unplugged the 15" speaker just to listen to the 10". It drops bottom just as good as the 15", but isn't quite as loud. I have had a 12" Fosgate XLC with 200w and the 10" blows it outta the water with only 100w! I also had 3-10" Cerwin-Vega Stealths with 200w running to each speaker and it still didn't come close.
Actually, the 1-12" Fosgate XLC was better than the Stealths, I don't recommend them unless you use a bandpass application like my cousin had.
