Simply awesome. This is one of the loudest, cleanest, best sounding subs I've ever heard. This is great for people who like loud, clean, bass and don't like pushing lesser subs to accomplish it. | Elk Grove Tile Installer Weakness:

Strength:
powerful bass, turns heads from blocks away.
Weakness:
Weight (for some people) This is the second time i have had a chance to own some of these amazing subs and i couldnt be happier. I have them in a 2006 trailblazer ext. i used to have one 12 in a 2001 vw gti. i absolutly love these things. you can beat the heck out of them and they never cut out. im running them on an Alpine mrp-m2000. Similar Products Used: 12" 4ohm + 4ohm 9500, 2 12" mtx 4500, 2 12" audiobahns, 2 12" visonic, lots of amps and the alpine is the best. |

MTX 9500
Strength:
-Strong build made to help the sub breathe under heavy operating conditions. - 1000watts RMS -3" peak to peak linear excursion -Stiff Cone and heavy duty rubber surround expected of a super woofer -Can a lot of abuse for extended periods of time -Price, you can find 15's for $300 now.
Weakness:
-Weight, 2 subs and my box weigh over 200lbs -Made for street beating, plays low freq great and smooth but the higher freq's can get a little sloppy in a ported box Let me start off by saying that I have 2 of these subs in a custom fiberglass ported box tuned to 37hz. I paid $350 per sub shipped and the box cost me about $650 to get professionally built. The MTX 9500 12 sounds great in my opinion. Of course with every system the install is 90% of the deciding factor of how it will perform. I'm yet to get my setup offically metered on the new TermLab but it knocks great. These subs will not blow your car up or hit 180db! I'm pushing them with an Eclipse DA7232 sub amp that gives my dual 4 ohm subs 1000watts RMS a piece. Similar Products Used: JL, Orion, and RF. In my opinion the JL's are smooth as hell but can't handle as much power and get as loud. The Orion (XTR Pro) were a great overall speaker. Good power handling and clean sound but just didn't take your breath away like I wanted. The RF Power series were punchy and didn't sound that great when a nice long bass note or a continous bass song was playing. I like the MTX because they can hit low enough to where you can't really hear them but your roof is flexing like crazy! Check them all out yourself, the MTX will impress you.... |

POUNDING POWERFULL CLEAN ACCURATE AWESOME MIND BLOWING BASS
Weakness:
Heavy, if thats a problem for you. takes alot of power, again a problem? Simply awesome. This is one of the loudest, cleanest, best sounding subs I've ever heard. This is great for people who like loud, clean, bass and don't like pushing lesser subs to accomplish it. I got these about three months ago new and they sounded good right out of the box and just sounded better and better as they got broke in. I'm pushin these with a rockford 1500.1 bd which is giving them 1887 watts RMS and they take all of it, but they sound good at any level. I would suggest these to anyone who wants great powerful bass and has a vehicle that can handle the 194lb weight of the sledgehammer box. These are louder than the 8 JL Audio 10" wo's that I had and sound a whole lot better and take up alot less room. Just so you know I have owned all kinds of hi-end auido (car and home) and this is among the best of the best, even better than the JL W-7's I owned, Alot better!
