Told me I had to rotate at 5k religiously, Claimed problem was my not having rotated, and difficulty of balancing with aftermarket rims(stick on weights vs. ugly clampons on the outside)... but admitted there were lots of them on the road. Anyone else heard this? Will go back to Bridgestone if the Firestone/Govt. lynching doesn't put them under. Centennial Mobile Mechanic Weakness:

They worked well in my computer room.

They suck in my car. Not really worth buying if you ask me. Similar Products Used: Jensen xs1212(probably the best cheap woofer ever made). mtx road thunder pro. |

Strength:
Low cost, excellent frequency response, high sensitivity, small enclosure design, lightweight. Great for pick ups or other vehicles that have limited space for woofers. Also works flawlessly in a trunk or hatchback.
Weakness:
The cone color isn't to my liking but, the rest of the woofer makes up for it. I bought my pair of Lanzar Neo 12's on E-bay for a couple of reasons. For one, they were priced right. I was looking for a temporary pair of woofers to use until I finished building my system. I even ordered a sealed enclosure with 1 cu ft. per chanmber to use temporarily as well. I figured the enclosure would be too small to make the woofers sound good but, what the heck, it was only a temporary thing. Next, I liked the fact that the woofers looked differetn than conventional woofers. They are very light weight, have a very, very shallow mounting depth (around 4 inches) and look cool with part of the magnet/motor structure being on the front of the driver. The woofers arrived and about 2 days later, the enclosure arrived. I opened the woofers and low and behold a 1 cu ft sealed enclosure was about perfect for each driver!!! I lucked out there. Next, I powered the woofers up with a Crunch 50HC High Current amp made in th early 1990's. I ran it 2 ohm mono to the Lanzars which gave them each about 100 watts. They sounded smoth, provided deep bass and some pretty high SPL. After a couple of weeks of break in time, I started to increase my volume a liitle and let me tell you, for the price these are some very impressive woofers. I didn't provide them with the'r maximum power handling watts of 700 or even close to their 350 watts RMS, but nonetheless I was impressed. I later hooked them up to a borrowed HiFonics VII Atlas which provided 600 watts RMS to the pair. The woofers to the power and sounded ultra clean. Bottom line, if you need a low cost woofer that performs flawlessley, is very light weight, has a shallow mounting depth and has good SQ go after a Lanzar Neo 12!
