2001 S15L7-4
Strength:
volume Acccuracy considering size durability
Weakness:
power hungry(1000 Watts RMS) The Solobaric is definitely the best subwoofer in it''s price class, and the wiring flexibility only makes it more desirable. I have one 15L7 in a 6 cuft sealed enclosure. That is the SQ alignment box. The price comes from me being an employee of an authorized Kicker dealer. Similar Products Used: round solobarics (s12d) |

Strength:
Ummm loud as.. and hit hard
Weakness:
Pricey Umm I wanted to hear the 15s so this guy let me listen to them in his car, my car was parked next to his. When he put the volume up like half of the max, my car alarm went off, to show that this wasn't a mistake, he turned it up even louder, and as soon as I turned my alarm off, it went off a second later, he set my alarm off 4 times, his trunk look like it was about to fly off, I sat in the car and it felt like my brain was out of place. I will get some 12s because I can't fit the 15s but he said 4 12s will kill the 15, so I think I will go for 3 :) Similar Products Used: Two MTX 6158 6000 15s |

Strength:
A very rigid build with good power handling. Sharp looking with a large cone excursion. Not as expensive as the things that match it.
Weakness:
For the loudest sound it requires a custom ported box which is really big and really expensive. One 15" in a custom ported box blows my mind. I heard it for the first time in a stereo store and I couldn't believe it. The first time I turned it on I had the volume at 2, and I could hear a rumble. The one 15" (powered 700 watts) by a kicker amp will sound louder than 4 12's. I promise that you cannot go wrong with these subs. Look online for the best deals, and for goodness sake, make sure you use a really strong box! These things put out a ton of pressure. I suggest these to anyone who wants a sub that really really hits you in the chest. Similar Products Used: I will put it up against any 15", except JL's W7 or anything that costs in the thousands, this is one of the best around |

Strength:
They are the SH*T. The beat hard without skipping the low bass and also they can hurt your ears. Perfect for people who like Rap and Technp
Weakness:
There is not a weakness of the Solobaric 15's except for they can rattle your car to pieces I have had them for almost 2 months and they are about to rattle my 2-door Tahoe apart. If you do not have them; GO GET THEM!!!!!!!!!!! Similar Products Used: The only Woofer that i can compare is MMATS Juggernauts. But Solobarics are cheaper and to me are better hitting. |

Kicker 15L7 4 ohm DVC
Strength:
LOUD! Very hard hitting bass with smooth response.
Weakness:
hmmm...can't say there are any My god...right now, i have 2 15L7s running off my HT receiver because I am in the process of installing my amp. they are each in a 1.7 cu. ft. custom box i made and its almost scary how loud they can get. when i play a sine sweep, i have to cover my ears because i am truly scared that i will go deaf. when i'm not playing these subs very loud, they sound excellent...pretty accurate for 15s (holding up the old solo-baric tradition) but have the capability of rattling the motherfu*king sh!t of anything and everything near it. if you're looking for a good mix of sq and spl (mostly spl, though) then definately check out the kickers. they are totally different from the round solos. Strength:
hits the lows very well. If you are into rap or any music with crisp smooth tight bass, this some kicks ass.
Weakness:
Lots of power!! I just have a small amp that pushes about 150x2 and it gets really loud. But the sub pushes about 1000w, so if you wanna go louder, get a bigger amp. I have had the sub for about 2 months and the sub rocks. It will tend to distort at certain bass levels, but when you have a smooth bass loop in a song it will make your ears hurt. Definitely worth the money, anyway, its kicker and your only getting the best anyway! Similar Products Used: really could tell? |

Strength:
I love how low they hit. And how well they handale lots of power.
Weakness:
None I would recommend them because of the great bass it produces. I mean it makes my GRand AM raddle like crazy. But the bass inside the car is so crisp. Similar Products Used: Fogate punch DVC 2 12s but not even close to the two 15 L 7. |

Strength:
Hit HARD AS HELL, accurate, LOUD!!!
Weakness:
Rattling things loose on my car With all the surface area these have, they move more air than most 18-inch subs. That's very impressive, and I couldn't fit 18's in my car. They also don't require that much space--I still have a functional trunk, because their box only requires half the space of my 1st pair of 15's. Similar Products Used: Solobaric circles (these are noticably better), JBL 12's (the s15L7 blows them out of the water) |

Strength:
loud but it still has good sq. wireing flexibility.
Weakness:
box is huge and expensive if you go ported I just got this sub put in my car about 3 days ago. Its in a 4.5 cu ft ported box running off a memphis 1000d. My amp is only turned up about 1/3 of the way to let the sub break in. The sub is only moving about a 1/4 inch or so and it hurts my ears. I used to have 4 12" dei studio subs and honestly this sub is just as loud as the 4 12" were and its only turned up a 1/3 of the way. i cant wait till it gets broke in Similar Products Used: 4 12" dei studio subs running off a memphis 1000d (1100 watts rms) and this is as loud only a 1/3 of the way up |
