I have 1 15 in my 97 Honda Accord, and it it Loud as hell. When i tell people its only one, they have to see it cuz they think im lying. I am using a Rockford Punch 360 and it has to be hitting at least 136 Db, and it takes up very little space too.
Weakness:
Well, I guess the price was a lil bit too much ($430) and the deep bass has muffed up my car, if u call that a disadvantage. $430, I recommend this sub to anyone who wants some deep ass bass. if u listen to some gay music, don't get this cux it doesn't produce tight bass very well |

I NEED HELP!!! I keep getting different opinions! I have a BMW 325ic, and I would like to install a 15" Kicker Solobaric in my trunk where the spare tire goes. I want REALLY loud deep bass. If anybody has installed a Solobaric, please post what your results were, (on a scale from 1-10)& how much power did you feed them. If it's not 2 much trouble E-mail me at talk2mike@hotmail.com. I REALLY-REALLY would appreciate it! THANX Frustrated & Confused. |

The 15" Solo-Baric is Meat! It may not be that efficient but who cares when you can handel 750 watts RMS! WoW do they hit Hard and Low unlike the talked up MTX 7000. In fact They kinda hurt. I'm Running (4) of them with (2)XS100 Kicker high-current amps and pushing 147.4db. I would sugest the Solo-baric to anyone Novice Or Expert. All you really need is one speaker. There is not a single voice coil speaker out there that can handle as much as a solo-baric. That why i give it a 5.0 (6.0 if i could) |

Because of all the great reviews I've seen on solobarics, I got one recently. I had it hooked up to a crossfire 600 watt amp. Expecting so much because of all the good things I have heard, I have never been so dissappointed in a peice of equiptment. This is because it is not what I was looking for. If you want huge, deep, heavy bass that is inaccurate and not tight, this is the sub for you. If you want a responsive sub that can still go deep but really plays the music the way it was meant to be heard, look at 2 12' competitions instead of this big massave thumper. Also, if you are gonna go with one of these or any solobaric, you need a seperate midbass because this sub has absolutely none! Frequency response only goes up to 100hz while almost all other subs go up to 500hz. This sub just gives this one low level of boom. It does it real hard and deep, don't get me wrong, but it is unmusical and unresponsive. |

I have two Kicker Solobaric 15" subs powered by a Kicker ZR1000. The speakers require an amazing amount of power but when fed enough they sound awsome. The bass is low and responsive. I had two Solobaric 12" subs previously and there is no comparison. If you want low bass, the 15" is for you. |

Strength:
very low bass, looks very good and well constructed
Weakness:
not effiecent, not the best SQ, limited to 750 rms watts because of overheating (could go under strengths, depends how you look at it) If you like low bass buy this sub. But becareful, I thought I liked low bass before I heard this sub. It is too low for me. I have one fifteen in a 1.5 cu. ft. enclosure powered by a soundstream 702 rubicon at 700 x 1 rms, in a pathfinder. Would be powered by a Infinity Digital 300 (1000 x 1), but because it's limited to 750 rms I went with the soundstream amp. Also I wanted 1 15" or 2 10" subs, that's why I bought it. I bought it because it was the only 15" sub on the market that could handle 750 watts rms and still have a little sound quality. Similar Products Used: Infinity beta 15. Kicker has lower bass, no midbass, has worse transient response, and isn't louder, but it plays lower frequencies so it's harder to play them as loud |

Strength:
Loud, very loud, rubber surround doesn't inhibit sound quality, the basket and spider is built bullet proof practicaly. Needs good clean power to move but with it, it rumbles. Takes very small box for a 15.
Weakness:
isn;t good with anythin then low frq. music like rap, takes a lot of power so if ya don't have the power don't bother Very Satisfied, built like a tank and can take everythin i throw at it. You get what ya pay for, and this sub is top notch quality. I'm running it off an Infinity Kappa202A amp which puts out 600 clean watts rms and it's a match made in heaven. Similar Products Used: MTX 15" 6000 series, blew twice and gave up yet they're sendin me another one, however it could be the fact i was doublin the 300 watts rms rating. Kicker 12" XPL, killer sub, loud and deep. JBL L+C, sucks, takes no power and dust cap falls off. |
