Strength:
Don''t require a lot of power.
Weakness:
Won''t handle a good amount of power. Distort at very low wattage. These subs truly suck. Give them anything above 200 true watts (not shiitty boss or pyramid watts) and they distort. Not nearly loud enough for my tastes. Save a lot of money and get some audiobahns instead. Similar Products Used: Audiobahn 1251x |

Strength:
at first i only had 100 watts going to each of mine, which did well. the low bass hits hard, sometimes the mid-lows aren't great, but still pretty good.
Weakness:
mid-lows aren't always great got both of the 12's from a friend. so to me, being free and all, were great. check 'em out. |

I have recently purchaces 2 kicker solo baric 12 inch subs and they were good aat first but as weeks went on the started to pop and buzz and I only used a kicker impulse 2x225xi amp not even bridged. I dont think the solo baric is all its cracked up to be |

I traded in a Boston Accoustics 12" Bandpass System for the Competition DC-C12's about 6 months ago. The unit cost $429.95, and for the price, I don't think you can get more power or much better sound quality. The 2 Competition 12's are powered by an Alpine V12 Amplifier, giving each speaker only 140 watts. They can handle about 250 continuous, but sound excellent even at high volume with the relatively low wattage. The kicker's are powerful and provide excellent deep bass extension. At very high volumes, they can get a little "boomy" but most people wouldn't listen at those volumes anyway. Overall, the Kicker Competitions were an excellent investment. I compared them to a similar JL enclosure with two 12's, and the JL's may have been slightly cleaner, but to my ears, the Kicker' were louder with less wattage, and sounded just as good if not better. Keep up the good work. |

Strength:
I have 2 Kicker Competition C-12's in a sealed box that i bought from a friend less than a month ago. If you ask me how they sound...i would have to say great! They are hooked-up to a Boss 600x2 amp. A definant strength I clearly noticed was the high level of bass at lower volumns.
Weakness:
None These are the third set of subs I have had in my car...of them all, i like the Kickers the best! Similar Products Used: None |
