Strength:
Ease of set up, remote functions, sound
Weakness:
None I've encountered I wanted a stealth install in my Toyota Tacoma 4 door and could not give up room for a sub box. Found this sub in Crutchfield and was leary at first until I read some reviews on it - then found one on eBay. Bottom line - it has very, very good bass for what it is. Will it go to 25Hz? Nope. Will it rattle glass? Negatron. Does it add good, solid bass that fills out the Tacoma cab? Absolutely! I am very happy with this purchase. Don't let a 30w amp scare you - the amp is very efficient and plays louder than you think. I like the remote and the flexibility it offers (Q-bass freq, X-over, gain). Highly recommended - just don't expect it to produce the same SPL of 2 12"s. |

Strength:
Very small size(fit under the passenger seat of my Subaru Impreza), easy installation, good sound quality.
Weakness:
Gets boomy if the gain is much above half or if crossover is above 60hz. No ring terminal included for connection to battery No RCA cables included No adjustments on sub itself only on remote. A nice addition if you're looking for a bit of bass without sacrificing cargo space. I installed it underneath the passenger seat of my 04 Subaru Impreza. It was pretty easy to install(took about 3 hours) and I was able to install it very cleanly. You can't see it underneath the seat so it's a nice stealthy install. The Woox performs well. My Impreza is a wagon so it's not a tiny car, but it's not huge. The bass this unit produces is suprisingly strong. It's also able to hit the lower frequencies and produce tight bass (like kick drums) as well as looser boomier bass(like a bass guitar or low piano notes). I listen to alot of classic rock which is often lacking in bass but this unit gives it the extra umph it was lacking. In conjunction with the subwoofer preout on my headunit, I was able to set a crossover for the frequncies sent to the sub versus the speakers. My speakers now sound alot better since they're not producing the bass. I really reccomend this unit especially for folks who have preamp level sub outputs. This will allow you to leave the gain relatively low(which will sound better) and boost the bass via your crossover without having to add to the bass going to your speakers. About the only complaints I have are the proprietary wiring harness, no adjustment controls on unit itself only on the remote. Also, there was no ring terminal for connection to the battery included with mine. I'm not sure if I just didn't get one or if Kenwood doesn't include one. I had to run to radio shack to buy the appropriate sized terminal and then I crimped it on. Also, no RCA cables are included so you'll have to supply those if you want to use the superior preamp level inputs. Overall, if you're looking for some good sounding bass that will fill in the missing low end but not shake your mirror or give you a case of premature deafness and you also want something that doesn't take up much(or in my case any) cargo space, definately look into this unit. I'm suprised a unit this small can produce so much bass. Similar Products Used: Aura Force 150 amp powering an Orion Cobalt 10" SVC sub in a sealed box. |

Strength:
Good for filling out the car lower sound range. Makes my Kenwood cassette deck and infinity speakers sound much better. I now enjoy music at higher volumes. I set at 80 Hz & adjust level depending on source. This was just what I needed for my system.
Weakness:
Hard to hear sound in remote location like the trunk. This small subwoofer is good for enhancing your car speaker system. I tried placing in several positions in a Mercury Sable. The front floor area was good for sound but in the way. Tried the trunk next and found sound was muffled too much...like putting your home theater sub in another room. The final & best location was on the rear floor area behind the front seat. |

None. Great little Sub-Woofer. This is the only thing that would fit under the passenger seat in my Ford Focus SE. Puts out plenty of bass for normal listening. |

Strength:
Robust wiring; several connection and mounting options (with included hardware); rich, punchy, powerful bass; versatile wired remote with adhesive velcro.
Weakness:
Five thick cables to run from my receiver to the sub, but they all hid nicely beneath the carpeting, and they''re thick for a reason. Man, I just installed this thing under the rear seat of my ''89 Jeep Wrangler, and I have to say, it really BUMPS. I''m not going to wake up any neighborhoods from 3 blocks away, but it will DEFINITELY crank loudly enough to annoy everyone at a stoplight. I call it my "bass losenge" because of the shape. Really fills out the jeep''s audio system, even on the highway with the top off. Mounted the remote in my glove compartment. It''s size allows me to keep it beneath the rear seat and still be able to transport passengers. Not to mention, unless you raise the back seat, you''d never know it was there. If by chance some thief did happen to look, if they want to dismount it from the 8 heavy-duty metal screws (included) I used to bolt it directly to the body, they''ve earned it. |

Strength:
Small, easy to hook up, comes with all hookup needs. Amp built in for ease of use.
Weakness:
Probably not good in larger vehicles. Doesn''t get as low as bigger subs If you''re looking to add bass to your system for a minimum of fuss, this is your sub. It''s small, mounts easily, and produces enough bass to fill a small-medium size vehicle. I''m using it in my Ranger King Cab and it has plenty of power. |
