When I first heard about them, I tought it was a joke. I was so used to my Fosgate woofers. I finally found a great deal @ SoundsCheap.com, and I said "what the heck". I ended up selling my Fosgate subs online on the Classified Section @ SoundsCheap.com's Discussion forum. These subwoofers kick some major "a..". All my neighbors stayed with their mouths open after they seen me bumpin' my new JL's from SoundsCheap.com. They even gave me free UPS shipping. Check them out for other great deals.

hits extreamly hard, and produces a high spl and out performs other brands like rockford and mtx. extreamly good sound quality "but what else would you expect from jlaudio"

i paid $340 for both of my 15's and they were worth every penny. i am running them on a alpine v12 1507 amp. I have the amp bridged at 720 watts and the subs never distort. if you ever reed a bad review for a product made from jlaudio the person who owned the subs probly did not wire them properly or put them in a "universal box" if you are not sure how to wire them look at the wireing guid in jlaudios tutorial section of there web page at www.jlaudio.com . I bought these subs at Hifi Buys in morow GA i recomed buying things from hifi buys becuse some times they will take the price down some becuse they get commision when you buy stuff there. the only other brand that in my opinion that can keep up with these subs are the orion 15in. hcca's

Loud, clear, and pretty musical.

Costs a little too much for performance, if over powered it is easy to tear the surround.

Great all around sub a little expensive, if you are thinking of getting multiple subs don`t, 1 Audiobahn 18 can take 6 of these 15`s in loudness, clarity, and depth, and is as cheap as two. Don`t get me wrong these are great subs, but only if you can get a good deal on them. I recommend a 2 cu.ft. box on this sub with around 400 watts and it should be fine. I`ve blown 2 of these 15`s, one of them horribly but I fixed them, and they are still hitting today. If you get this sub get it cheap 180 - 230 dollars and don`t overpower it. this sub hits hard as hell. i used to use a rock for DVC and the JL way out preforms, i have to use a small box cause i drive a 3000 gt with hardley any trunk space but it shakes my car and the car next to me, i have 1000 watts to it pushed by the brand new JL amp wich is also a great amp.

it broke my back window when i pushed all 1200 watts of my amps power to it.

i paid 400 dollars for it including box and it is well worth it, no problems at all, i also got a 3 yr warranty on it and don't have to worry about a problem with it for a while.

FOAM SURROUND, WEAK DUST CAP

well JL hits pretty hard while they last, the damn dust cap falls off of them and the cone seperates from the surround, and i was running the recommended power rating to them. JL subz are good for the short term use!!!!

Excellent sub, quite possibly one of the best when it first came out, excellent sound quality with great low bass extension in a very small box. I tired it out in a 1.25 cf sealed box and a 2.25 cf ported. I did not like the ported configuration, as the bass got muddy and SPL did not improve much. One thing of concern - the foam surrounds are prone to cracking in extreme cold weather. This happened with mine. I wish JL Audio would use rubber surrounds and a cast aluminum basket for their top-of-the-line subs. They do have a great website and tech support.

these speakers are great. i would recommend that anyone who has the money and trunk space to buy some of these. i bought 3 of them for my 88 chevrolet beretta. i have a MTX RT2400X amp pushing them. it sounds so good and deep. everyone in town wants to sit in my car and listen to it. i also had to dynamat my car. but these speakers cause so much shakage that i even had to dynamat my license plate and muffler. it was funny, you could watch the muffler move about an inch in each direction whenever they hit. but the reason i bought these subwoofers was the fact that i talked the retailer down pretty low on them. i paid $210 a piece for them. that is why i bought these instead of the MTX Thunder 8000 15"s that i almost bought. i highly recommend them for anybody who is going to be db drag racing. and good luck with your speakers.

I paid 350 canadian for mine and i love them!
I have 2 of them and 2 zapco AG1000 pushing them in 3ohm mono!
Each subs is getting 1200 watts rms and they sound great!
I know i am overpowering them, but they sound so much better and hit harder, jl makes a greta sub!

Loud as hell with good accuracy. They go deep and pretty loud. Hard to beat in its price range, there are those that are better for more money.
