This sub has great low Range and with stands very hard hiting compation abuse
Weakness:
There is not alot wrong with this sub other then alittle hum with the higher amps but you have to be wright next to the boxs to notice it I payed a $150.00 for my tens in a band pass box and I feel I got my moneys worth these are a very good deal and has verygood sound Similar Products Used: I have also competed with kicker tens and they distort alot faster as the amps increase |

2000 KS210
Strength:
Good construction, decent SQ, Surprisingly good SPL for a cheap ten, looks cool with metallic cone.
Weakness:
Not a true metallic cone, rattles at higher volumes(or is it my POS Q-logic box?) Since I get car audio wholesale I decided to buy a Jensen KS210 DVC Titanium Plated sub just to see how it sounds. Overall I am pretty impressed with this thing. A bunch of us car audio guys were making fun of them so I bought one to see what it's like. First impression after taking it it out of the box was that for a sub that retails around $70 this was built pretty well. I wired the VC's in Parallel for a 2ohm load and mounted it in my old Dual 10" Type 2 Q-Logic box and hooked it into one channel of my old Profile Baja 600 rated at 225 watts @ 2ohms. I left a Sony in the other side to compare. The Sony's cone is much stiffer than the Jensen despite the KS210 having a Titanium plated polypropylene cone. This thing has around 1.25"-1.5" of total travel. I showed it to my friend with the MTX Blue Thunder Legend 10" and now he's buying two to replace the MTX. If your looking for a good loud well built sub for under $100 I'd reccommend checking it out. Similar Products Used: Sony XSL1030, JL 10W0, Soundstorm 10", Audiobahn ALUM10, MTX BL108. Louder but not cleaner than Sony's and JL's. Louder and cleaner than Sounstorms and the MTX. Neither louder nor cleaner by a long shot than the Audiobahn ALUM10's. |
