Model Reviewed: This years M3 10 inch D4

Strength:

Good for RAP, some of my pannels have started to rattle (next step Dynamat) Good for heavy metal and rock if you keep it within the levels of what rock should sound like (not boomy, but precise) Works well in small enclosures like the MTX Thunderforms. Getting it installed by Sound Waves in Canoga Park.

Weakness:

At loud volumes the sub can get a little muddy.

So far this product has doe better than I thought. I placed it in an MTX Thunderform for a Chevy EX cab. I thought it might not give me enough bass, but I was wrong. At high volumes the accuracy does drop a little, but when you listen to rock and heavy metal the sub never gets truly loud. I would have used the M6 model, but the depth of the sub and the excursion were to much for such a restricted enclosure. We will see how it performs when it is properly broke in and can move at it's optimum level.

Alumapro 12- The best, I just didn't like the local dealers. Alpine 12- good, but did blow with moderate use, DON'T BUY OFF THE INTERNET. Get your "warrenties" not "shafted". Audiobahn 12: never cared for it.

Model Reviewed: Diamond Audio M3101.4

Strength:

very decent for a 10, provides good low frequency fill.

Weakness:

Not recommended for those who enjoy reasonably loud bass. Does not hit. Don't mess with these tens, if you want an old set of DATs, go with the 12s.

This sub is extremely accurate at moderate volumes, say with 150 watts or less. I had two of these receiving 350 watts each and they will distort very audibly at high volumes. I had it in a sealed box built to DAT specs.

Similar Products Used:

JL(better volume than DAT, similar sq), Boston(same), fosgate(DAT is much more accurate),

Model Reviewed: M3101.4

Strength:

Low price but high performance.

Weakness:

I can not find except warranty should be effective only through official vendor only.

I set one M3101.4 sub on the rear shelf of my Y31 sedan. As I set it by myself so DAT would not guarantee my sub anymore. Buried bass guitar coming clearly and awesome that was faded away into the noize from running car itself. There's a strong resemblance to 12" one. I am completely satisfied with Dancing sub.
