Strength:
It has some of the clearest sound I've ever heard. If you put it up against other woofers (mostly kenwoods where I am) they fart and make all sorts of bad noises while my clarions put out near perfect sound. They are well priced and an excellent investment.
Weakness:
I find that they are a little over rated in RMS power by only about 20 watts I paid 100.00$ canadian (I know the internet is has a better deal somewhere but I got mine out of a retail store). I run them off a power acoutik FX820 amp and an alpine deck, they sound perfect. (the gain is turned to .9) Similar Products Used: I've used Kenwood 12's 10's, MTX 10's, and kicker 10's. Personally the kickers are too expensive for the power they put out(Thier amps are unbeliveable though), and the kenwoods are overrated by about a factor of two. They don't sound good with anything over 100 watts @ 4 ohms RMS(they are rated at (250 RMS). The MTX was a one of the better subs but again it was overrated. The clarions I have now are just awsome and put out more clean bass than everthing except big kickers. |
