I recently bought (2) 12" cerwin vega-strokers in a bandpass box. These speakers were used, but very cheap. they don't look as good as they sound. The speakers are actually quite ugly. The speakers are the loudest and clearest used speakers i have ever purchased. Much better than Rockford 12's, and jl audio's

I currently own 2 15in Stroker's and I have to say after I read your review I feel like smacking you these are the best subs i have ever owned and personally I have won more comps. with these then with any other speaker I have owned your just mad cause you didnt know what you were doing. I have 2 1000 watt kicker amps to each one and The will make you throw up so go have luck else were bud!!!!!

Cerwin-Vega has no strengths in car audio anymore. Not unless they start making the XL's again.

Where do I begin? Right after I hooked it up to the Fosgate amp I could hear it bottoming out, pounding the voice coil, and stretching the spider. Every Cerwin-Vega car sub I have ever bought tears at the spider. Which means they lose linearity and come apart. Strokers sound like crap, they push like a mouse fart, and fall apart. Don't buy one!!!!! Please don't buy one, it'll be a disappointment.

I bought it 'cause I heard it was the "best" sub money could buy. Needless to say they definitely aren't. A quick run-through of previous Cerwin-Vega stuff I've been through; 10"XL's(2),12"Stealth Series(4); A Vega series 12" And a Stroker 12D2. The XL,s are the only ones that still work. The XL's are pushing 136db with 100 watts each. The stroker couldn't even push that with 1000 watts. Bottom line Stroker's are the crappiest sub I have ever owned. I ran one with a RockfordFosgate 1000bd amp for 2 weeks(2 ohm load=1000 watts output) and the piece of crap came apart. And I mean came apart. Both spiders ripped completely, the surround separated from the cone, and the tinsel leads broke. Basically, I opened my trunk to find my cone laying on the carpet. I will never buy another one again, what a waste of money. And they sound like a tin can.I can fart bass better than this thing could put out.

air space, i got a 89 toyota pickup extra cab i had to use up my whole extra cab to give these babies the right amount of space to make it work good .

i live in the island of guam so i paid $800.00 for a pair, i would recommend this woofer for comps they are very loud. it is good to run the power acoustik amp 1 ohm series 2400 hundread watts pushing these babies plus my 6 1/2 vega series midrange.

Upon opening the box, I ran to the bathroom to vomit. These are the UGLIEST speakers in the world. The sound was disgusting. It reminded me of a physics experiment where we hooked a kitchen magnet up to a gum wrapper and powered it by a potato. I managed to improve the sound by going to the junkyard and pulling a paper cone off an old chevette and covering my ears to mask the disgusting hum coming from the speakers. My friends won't talk to me anymore. My girlfriend slapped me and left me. My mother disowned me. All because of this UGLY speaker. I am now considering pulling the internal speaker out of my old 386 computer and marketing it as a thousand dollar piece of high tech audio equipment. I will now take the advice of another reader and bang a piece of plywood for my musical appreciation.

I got a lexus gs 300 with two 12" strokers, running each on a PHD2 2000rms at 2ohms, It took my hole trunk space but its allrigth cause is bangging a 159.3db. if your willing to spend some money...go with some strokers their worth every penny they cost...
