hmmm, none The boston compeitor 800 is sick! I swear it has the same motor structure as its bigger brothers, the 1000 and 1200. Its a fatty magnet. I built a .3 cubic box, 10" all sides. Fricken tiny box. The sub is so nice, it goes really low for an eight. totally worth the money. I'm gonna put it in my girlfriends car and power it with a RF 360a2. I had tested it out with my 500a2, and it just loved the power. I could bottom it out, of course with ~ 600rms. Its not for that anyways. Its a perfect addition to any SQ system. I got some 6.5lf components to to put in her car. Damn she's lucky. good luck Similar Products Used: rf xlc 10, punch 10, type r 12, the punch 10, boston comp 1200, rf 15 xlc, infinity reference 10, pioneer impp 12, |

Weakness:
wires aren't the best quality I have been through a lot of high quality speakers there is no other one better for your money than this one. I have my two 10" in my 92' mustang hatchback and they are powered with a 1100 watt amp Similar Products Used: JBL, Boss, Jenson XS |

Strength:
Great bass with little power. Very tight and clean in a very small box.
Weakness:
I've had two and both had the wire mounting post (the thing that the speaker wire mounts too) come off and the speaker no longer works Excellent speaker for the money, just some reliability issues........ If you're looking for something to round out your system, excellent purchase. I only have one 10, with a Kenwood amp putting out about 300 RMS and it kills the amp. But I am a bit concerned with the quality of the speaker Because I've gone through 2 already because of the wire mounting harness coming off, but other than that, it's a kick butt speaker....... -none I only have 1 10" boston competitor right now and it's all I need. I previously owned a rockford punch he2 ( 2000 DVC ) which I powered with a rockford punch 250a2 and it totally pounded but it lacked in sound quality. The rockford he2 was meant to shake a lot which is what it did with it's high excursion. I didn't like that it made my car rattle and I could hear my pannely vibrating so I sold it and bough 1 10" competitor to replace it and I have no regrets. The boston is a very loud sub with huge potential. It puts out tons of bass without rattling my car. The sub and box also take up almost half as much space as my previous rockford did. All in all I'd say it's a better sub because it also has way better sound quality, but if oyu a bass head who loves it loud and likes to feel their bass then the rockford might be better for you.
