T102
Strength:
Well built , dosn't need much power to achieve good spl.
Weakness:
Critical to placement. I Picked this up from auction and was a little sceptical due to the age, I guessed this was at least 5 years old. However I was not disapointed these things are definately built to last. Rock solid and heavy, this pounds needing little power to get things moving. I hooked it up to my 5 channel V12 amp and was very impressed about 80rms.. I listen to R & B and this tube suits it to a tee.. At 200 it started to rattle the boot so I bought a dynamat trunk kit now it sounds better than ever. Similar Products Used: Pioneer and Rockford |

Strength:
Strong bass, Efficiency, Size
Weakness:
Shape, Mounting I've used this unit for over 3 years. The bass is very strong and distortion free. I am powering it with a Pioneer 25 watt amp bridged into 80 watts RMS/160 peak. I can't get my doors to rattle, but the sound quality is great. The sub is very sensitive to placement and distance from the wall of the trunk. About 3 3/4 inches is perfect. If the sub slides left or right, the sound quality changes. Because I am using a Tri-way cross over to send bass frequencies to the sub, the 6db crossover puts the phase about 90 degrees out. Use a 12 db crossover and hook up the leads out of phase. |
