Strength:

Size, sound, easy set up.

Weakness:

Reliability, not the best sound available.

I had some trouble finding one that worked. When I first got it, it worked for about a week, then died. Brought it back to the store, they tried to replace it, but the next one we tired was DOA out of the box! Finally we found on that did work, but after about 9 months it blew out too. I sent that back to SAS and upgraded to the new "HP" amp, and it has been working since (knock on wood). When it is working I am pleased with the sound. It is nothing that will win a compition, but it fills out the frequency range quite well, and provides more bass than I need. I recently upgraded to a head unit with preamp outputs for a sub and the Bazooka sounds much cleaner ever since. Assuming it works, I give it a 4, but since I had trouble, I''''m giving it a 3.

Strength:

Sounds great! Crossover, small package, built in amp

Weakness:

Face plate comes off

I got it for $209 to go behind the seat in my regular cab truck. I didn't want to install amps and boxes and stuff so I got it because it is an all in one package. It sounds great! I did have a problem when I got it, the amp blew. SAS customer service is great, had it repaired in a week and have had no more problems. I plan to get one for my civic soon.

Strength:

Small, compact, cheap, bangs better than most enclosers I have heard, built-in amp.

Weakness:

At first it wasn't working correctly.

I definately recommend this if you have a compact to a midsize car. The bass on this little tube carries about as good if not better than a $500 Pioneer car system. I connected it to the pre-amp outputs of my alpine deck in my Volkswagon Jetta Gl(1990). I am more than happy about the system, I would like to get another one, but I think I bought the last one anyway. I'd say, if you want a tube, get this one, easy connection, big bass, little bit of space. Five stars all the way.

Strength:

compact, good sound at low volume, I don't have that big crappy speaker box taking up my extra space. relatively inexpensive compared to a mono amp per sub setup.

Weakness:

The damn speaker grille falls off. does not live up to the implied "reference series" name. sounds like it's afraid of something. I expected alot more from this sub.

altho a good enough unit for those on a budget, not quite the sound i would look to achieve at anytime. i'm not one known for being a bass head, i prefer a more balanced sound to handle everything techno can throw. i want deep bass, but not a boomy rattling bass. this one is probably better for country music fans. those wishing a tight hard hitting sound should look else where. on a positive note, this one is perfect for putting in the wife's car. it's easy and quick to install, and fairly good boom for the buck. and she'll be very happy for a long time. for the dollar value, it's very acceptable for the low cost, and low visability. But "reference implications" it aint.

Strength:

I accually im comentign about an el but its the same sub basically.. The sound quality is amazing when powered by 200 watts. Even though SOME people are bad sceptics of this format sub.. I prove them wrong when they sit in my car and listen.. The trick with these subs is aim them towars the side or rear of your car 3-5 inches away from the wall.. This will give it clear robust sound quality.

Weakness:

None... Well sub does heat up pretty heavy but i fixed that with a heat sink :-)

This is a great beginner/hobbiest sub.. no where near compition level. If you going out bumoing or use it to accent you bass this is the sub for you!
HIGHLY recomended

I just purchased the Bazooka RS10AHP from Soundcity for $269 delivered and it sounds awesome. it is powered by an 80 watt amp,it has a 10 inch woofer and I had it mounted inside my rear well of my 89 Firebird, believe me you cannot get better bass than this for the price. Their is absolutey no distortion when I crank my Pioneer DEH-45DH to its max.
