Audiobahn AWT 12x
Strength:
VERY loud, can handle tons of power. Loves deep bass.
Weakness:
Needs a lot of power, gets distorted when needs to hit hard frequently. I recently purchased this sub at Ziebart after blowing my Audiobahn Alum 12Q. I am running the Audiobahn 2200 HCT amp wich pushes 2300x1 or 1200x2 to this monster of a sub. After riding in my car for about 20 minutes, my roommate got a bloddy nose, talk about power. Loud, descent sound Q.
Weakness:
needs a lot of power. This is by far the only sub i have found to satifastory hit loud and sound good at the same time. Everyone i know thinks i have 2 - 15" subs in the back and i only have this 1 - 12". I have a 1100 watt Rockford 1100a2 powering the sub and it's just as loud as my old 15" rockford power DVC sub and sounds almost as good as a JL w6. Great all around sub. The Bass is CRAZY. Excellent sound quality
Weakness:
NONE!!!!!! This subwoofer is a KILLER! This sub has excellent sound quality and the bass will make your mom cry. I've listened to the JL W7 and the Cerwin Vega Stroker and they do not compare to this sub. They sound like garbage if want a KILLER sub invest in this sub. Similar Products Used: NONE!!!!!!! |

Excursion (about 3inches) BASS (Daaaaaamn son, no need for a pacemaker anymore!)
Weakness:
Sound quality (not the best but hey, I'm a basshead and I admit it! Wow, where can I start with these puppies...or should I say monsters. If you're thinking of buying these subs make sure YOU'RE PACKING POWER!!! Or else you're better off buying cheaper subs. I've had 2 of these in my altima and I am thinking of selling one because my girlfriend won't ride in my car. The bass is so hard it feels like I'm going to vomit sometimes when I put the music to loud (hip-hop). I am pushing these with a RF bd1500 amp but haven't tested them because I'm not really into competition although I'm starting to consider! Similar Products Used: JL 12W6 |

Is the loudest sub out there because it can handle so much power, not to mention it is clearer than all the high powered hard-hitting subs. also it will cost the same as any other high end sub.
Weakness:
800-1000 watts of an alright amp will push it but to get the full potential out of this sub you need to run at least 1200 watts of a very good amp. I Would put money down that this sub, inch for inch is the best sub out there, i am only running it off of a 800 watt kicker amp and i have shut down w7's, alumapros, w6v2's, rockford fosgate 12's, oriion hcca's and some generic stuff that didnt sound like anything. HEAVY This sub is great i got mine from a shop in west palm. I had it in my car for a while it won me 2 1st place trophies.(i only went to 2 comp's). Put in my truck hit pretty hard with my audiobahn 1800x1 ohm amp. This one sub sounds like two. I have 2 15s in my truck now. Im trying to sell my 12 for $350 or best offer. If anyone wants one email me for details i barely used it. I had it about 4 months but actually used it about 1 month. Similar Products Used: mmats |

2002 AWT 12X
Strength:
Great looks, hard hitting bass, very defined low end bass, can handle enough power to run the lights in your neighborhood! 8ga lug terminals. Lots of Chrome. Unique basket.
Weakness:
Weighs around 50lbs, needs a huge amp to get the best bump. This sub is awesome. It looks great and has the sound to match. For starters this sub can move somewhere in the neighborhood of 3.5", and match the sound of 2 "normal" 12''s. Before this sub I owned 2 ALUM 12''s in a custom ported box and the AWT sounds just as clear and is nearly if not louder than the 2 ALUM''s. If you are considering to run this sub take my advice and build a ported box to specs. I had it in a sealed box for about three days and i knew I could get more out of it. For $350 it is worth every penny! the brand name!!!... hits alright =( These are kinda okay... i compare these subs to JLW7, Eclipse Titaniums, ID Max, MTX 8000 , and Orion HCCa... i would think that JLW7 or the Eclipse Titaniums would be the best choice. Similar Products Used: JLW7 (kills the AWT12) Eclipse Titaniums (kills the AWT12) ID Max ( far better than the AWT12) MTX 8000 (equal performace, cost much less) Orion Hcca (better than the AWT 12) |
