all of the above I like these better than my other subs and setups i have had.

I dont think there is a weakness for these subs.

I just got 2 Alpine type S 12's and a jensen 500 watt amp from my friend, and the sh*it is really loud i have heard louder because i go to competitions but for the setup and the amp it is really loud. and i was really surprised it was going to be this loud. when my friend had it he had the amp bridged out to the (DVC) subs so it was like puhing 4 subs and the amp would cut out on all the powerful hits. so what i did when i bought it is i ran it on each sub is on a channel 2 channel jensen 500 watt and it is giving each sub about 200- 250 watts a peice. and im very surprised with these subs they are the loudest setup for the wattage and the $$dollar$$. I have seen alot of systems in my day and im only 17 and i already do installs for my friends audio shop after school and friends. I love competiton and i think when i get 2 bigger amps for each sub im going to take these to a competiton just to see what they will do with a bigger amp because i have only seen 2 people with alpine subs and setups and they slammed hard as hell so hard i thought this guys winsheid was going to blow out it wa smoving like 1/2in" from the molding he had 6 Type R 12's. My setup is Pioneer deh-p6400 head unit 4 gauge wiring kit 4ga. power/ground and 10ga. remote wire 2- Alpine type S 12's in a sealed box 1- Jensen 500 watt amp (saving for 2 alpine v12 amps not sure on the wattage yet 1 amp for each sub). I think thats about it.

i have never had the opportunity to listen to a finer sub. these aplines are extremely accurate and efficient. my friend bought two subs in a sealed enclosure with a kicker amp. the amp sounded like trash so we dropped the subs into my car. my kenwood 600 gave that kicker something to think about. he brought back the kicker to get the same amp as mine. the subs never give out or bottom out at extremely high volumes. they still hear us coming more than a mile away. (this was actually tested, and they could still go luder) the accuracy of these subs is unmatched. clarity, clarity, clarity. it never goes away. my two ten inch explodes never had a chance. i was so sad when i had to give the subs back.

Great frequency rating they can hit almost any type of bass. I have had them for a year and they sound just as good as the first day. They are a great buy especially for the price.

I have 2 12's hooked up with a MTX4250D mono amp and it only puts out about half as much power as they can even handle and it sounds clean, deep, and great.

i think the magnet could have been bigger and it should be a 2 ohm sub not 4

i used to have 2 jensen 10" subs in a bandbass box and that was pretty good but now that i have this sub it''s way better than the 2 10''s. i don''t have a car yet but i do have all the stuff to put in a car, so i went out and got a 2 power supplys so i could power a head unit and an amp. my setup so far: panasonic headunit alpine mids and tweets, in a box rockford punch 800.2 amp rockford amp kit 2 gage alpine type s 12" (2)in ported box rockford power cap (still in box) rockford cd changer all of this is in my room and belive me it''s really f***in loud! and clear 2. i can''t even turn it up more than half way cause everything in my house starts to go crazy.
